So much of what we carry shows up in the body.

The tight shoulders.
The clenched jaw.
The breath we didn’t realize we were holding.

Sometimes the first step isn’t doing more—it’s creating enough space to soften, breathe, and let go of a little of what we’ve been carrying.

That’s where we begin. 🤍

I’ve been getting so many inquiries lately about prenatal yoga 🤍

And I absolutely love working with women through every stage of pregnancy.

As a physical therapist and yoga teacher, I bring a little more than movement to these sessions. We weave together breathwork, mindful movement, mobility and intentional strengthening to support your changing body and help you prepare for birth—physically and mentally.

Every pregnancy is different, and every session can meet you exactly where you are.

If you’re pregnant and looking for this kind of support, I’d love to work with you. And if you know someone who may benefit, please share this with them. 🤍

In-person at Breathe Eden or virtually.

The most meaningful outcomes are often the ones we never expected.

This client came to me because of abdominal bloating.

Yes, we worked on her breathing, her pressure system, and releasing unnecessary tension through her neck, rib cage, and pelvic floor.

But the story she shared at her session yesterday, is the one I’ll remember.

Her son had a tantrum when she got home.

He looked at her and said,

“Mommy… what’s wrong with you? Why are you so calm?” 🤍

Children notice when we change.

When our breath becomes less guarded and our nervous system feels safer, we’re not only changing how our bodies function—we’re changing how we respond to the people we love most.

Sometimes healing looks like less pain.

Sometimes it looks like less bloating.

And sometimes it sounds like a little voice reminding you just how different you feel.

✨ That’s the ripple effect of regulation.

The sun is back out. ☀️

Let today be a reminder to do one small thing that helps you breathe just a little bit easier.

A walk.
A few slow breaths.
Time outside.
A quiet cup of coffee.
A moment just for you.

Your nervous system notices the little things, too. 🤍

When we think about bloating, we often think about food.

But what if your breathing patterns are part of the picture too?

This week, a new client came to me after seeing GI specialists, changing her diet, and trying digestive enzymes. She wondered if her breathing could be contributing to how she felt.

She was asking exactly the right question.

Our breath isn’t just about oxygen—it’s part of the body’s pressure system. When we spend all day breathing into our neck and chest or holding tension through our abdomen and pelvic floor, that pressure has to go somewhere.

In today’s video, I’m sharing why we started with her breath before anything else.

✨ Have you ever noticed your bloating feels worse when you’re stressed or holding tension?

I’d love to hear your experience in the comments. 🤍

After I shared what my day at Breathe Eden looked like, a client reached out and said:

“I can’t believe how many women have neck pain and need nervous system regulation.”

My response?

1000%.

If you struggle with neck tension, headaches, jaw tightness, or shoulders that always feel like they’re carrying the weight of the world…

You are not alone.

I see it every single day.

So many women are moving through life with overwhelmed nervous systems, holding their breath, carrying stress in their bodies, and believing that feeling tight and tense is just part of being a mom or a busy woman.

It doesn’t have to be your normal.

Your body isn’t failing you—it’s communicating with you.

And with the right support, it can learn a different way.

🤍 If this sounds like you, know that you’re not the only one. And you don’t have to navigate it alone.

The next time pain shows up, before you spiral or search the internet…

Try these 3 things:

✨ 1. Pause.
Resist the urge to immediately assume the worst.

✨ 2. Take one slow, full breath.
A longer exhale can help signal safety to your nervous system and reduce the urge to brace.

✨ 3. Get curious.
Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with me?” try asking, “What might my body need right now?”

Pain deserves your attention—but it doesn’t always deserve your fear.

Sometimes, changing your response is the first step toward changing your experience.

🤍 Save this post for the next time your body asks for your attention, and share it with someone who could use the reminder.

Your brain and sympathetic nervous system are not the enemy.

We need them.

It’s the part of your nervous system that helps you react when you’re truly in danger.

It allows you to move quickly, protect yourself, and survive.

The problem isn’t that your sympathetic nervous system turns on.

The problem is when it never turns off.

So many women are living in a constant state of urgency—rushing, worrying, holding their breath, carrying tension, always feeling like they need to do more. Over time, the body begins to believe this is normal.

Healing isn’t about eliminating your stress response.

It’s about teaching your nervous system that it’s safe to come back to balance.

That’s where true healing, recovery, and resilience begin. 🤍

Have you ever noticed how hard it is to truly relax, even when nothing is wrong?

I’d love to hear below.

07/29/2026

When pain shows up, your body isn’t the only thing reacting.

Your brain immediately starts asking:

Is this dangerous?

Have I felt this before?

Should I stop moving?

If you’ve had a previous injury or a painful experience, it’s completely understandable for your nervous system to become more protective.

That doesn’t mean your body is broken.

It means your brain is trying to keep you safe.

One of the most powerful parts of healing is helping your nervous system recognize that not every painful moment is an emergency.

With the right support, your body can learn safety again—and often, movement becomes easier because of it. 🤍

Have you ever noticed your mind jumping to the worst-case scenario when pain appears?

Let me know in the comments.

Pain often triggers more than physical discomfort.

It can trigger fear.

Fear that you’ve injured yourself.
Fear that you’re back where you started.
Fear that the pain won’t go away.

And while those thoughts are completely understandable, they can also influence how your body responds.

The next time pain shows up, see if you can pause before jumping to the worst-case scenario.

Take one slow breath.

Get curious instead of immediately becoming fearful.

Your body deserves your attention—but not every painful moment is an emergency.

Have you ever noticed your mind going straight to the worst-case scenario when pain appears?

I’d love to hear your experience in the comments. 🤍
