What is going on at Cherokee Memorial?

Lots of people have asked us : "What are those big grey boxes we're burying into the ground?"
Answer? Those are concrete burial vaults! Here are a few up to the minute photos of those vaults being installed to ensure we have each plot recorded and spaced properly. Preparations are in full swing for our Memorial Day services. This week, you'll see flags all over the grounds appear, honoring the resting place of each veteran laid to rest at . On Monday, our staff will rise early to raise flags throughout the park to honor those who have served- and in alphabetical order, too! Please join us on Monday, May 25, 2026 at 10:30am at Cherokee Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Lodi to help us pay respect to our nation's heroes, our veterans.
