Meet Dr. Christopher Kowalski, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in spine surgery at Intermountain Health’s Logan Regional Orthopedics.
Medicine runs in his family. His parents, siblings and extended family are all in the medical field and inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. His desire to help people, combined with his love of working with his hands, eventually led him to orthopedic spine surgery. For Dr. Kowalski, it’s a privilege and honor to collaborate with his patients, and he finds it profoundly humbling when someone trusts him to perform surgery on them or their loved one.
Dr. Kowalski enjoys treating any and all spinal conditions in the cervical, thoracic, or lumbar spine ranging from disc herniations to complex spinal deformity correction operations. He performs both minimally invasive and open spinal surgeries depending on the specific spine problem.
Outside of work, Dr. Kowalski enjoys spending time with his wife, four children and their two golden retrievers. Originally from Salt Lake City, he’s an avid outdoorsman and Eagle Scout who enjoys hiking, fishing, hunting, boating, weightlifting, running, cycling, snowboarding and golf.
