When Donald arrived at Loma Linda University Health, short walks left him winded. Today, he walks miles and enjoys a level of independence he once feared he might lose.

Interventional cardiologists Dr. Amr Mohsen and Dr. Jason Hoff offered Donald the expertise that he wouldn’t have found living hours away in Bakersfield, California. His multiple structural heart problems, including complications from a previous procedure, were no feat for our multidisciplinary team. Rather than opening the chest, physicians developed a staged, minimally invasive treatment plan tailored to Donald’s anatomy and condition.
