God Is Very Close to the Broken Hearted
Pastor Jason Nelson is a very gifted minister. He performs the role of Resident Minister at Knollcrest & Steuerle Chapel, often serving 2 services per day; some days even 3, when both homes are busy serving families. Contrary to what many people might think, Jason looks forward to, and completely embraces this ministry as something very special. Loss is profound. Loss is sad. Loss can be very difficult. The entire reason for having visitations, funerals and memorial services, is to serve the purpose of enabling an entire community experience, and help you with your grief. Their custom expands further as it leads the way toward healing. This can be a very difficult, but blessed journey with the help of a community, bound by love for your loved one. And you. And the entire family and community that mourns them together..
Pastor Nelson reminds us "God is very close to the broken-hearted". Indeed that's so true! He discusses the profound message of how God enters your life during loss and your most vulnerable and broken times. We feel very fortunate to have Pastor Jason Nelson here and serving in so many services in our chapels. What he offers is that pathway to healing, paved with love and the sense that the entire community is part of that journey.
