North Laurel's FCCLA club is partnering with Team Liam 23 to make this Halloween special for patients in Kentucky children's hospitals. If you would like to help, please send children's costumes, candy, and trick-or-treat supplies to NLHS by October 15th.
🎃Donations can be dropped off or sent with students and given to FCCLA sponsors Pam Dick and Lindsey Harrell.

Join us at Town Center Park THIS Friday, September 11 to watch the animated film King of Kings on the big screen.
Every youth who attends will have the chance to put their church’s name into our drawing. The more youth in attendance means the more chances your church has to win. The winner will be chosen completely at random, so every church has a chance to win!

El Santo Taco, Ice Cream for Liam , Sips & Snacks 606, and London Downtown will be onsite starting at 7 PM for all your concession needs.

We want to thank the The Kid’s Closet-London, KY for donating a portion of their proceeds towards our community through Ice Cream for Liam. We have so many children in our community that need our support while they’re facing childhood cancer and other chronic illnesses. Thank you everyone who reached out to them and recommended us. I don’t even have words to express how happy it makes us that when you think of a charity for our community you think of Liam. That truly makes me so happy that he is making a difference still with his journey. If you haven’t yet go check them out. They are way cooler and closer than any kid to kid I’ve been too 💛💜

These are just some of the children I can think of right off that I started following in the last 3 years. So many childhoods stolen, so many families hurting.

They are not statistics; they are sons and daughters, they are milestones missed, clothes never grown into, laughter silenced, baby babble turned to cries, medical trauma, and so much more.

Liam dying still hurts, it hurts as much today as it did the day he took his last breath. We prayed, we fasted, thousands of people came together and prayed the same things. When good news happens people say “won’t God do it” “this is the power of prayer” etc. and yes that it but sometimes it looks different. Sometimes we don’t get the prayer answered the way we hoped. Sometimes we don’t understand how our broken heart is apart of his plan. Cancer hurts, cancer is hearing no when we prayed for yes, cancer is a thief and plays dirty, we can’t just love these kids better.

If love could save them, they’d be here. 8% government funding is not enough, 50% prognosis is not enough, 70% relapse rate is way too high, 5% of our children dying is not rare. We need a change, whatever it looks like it starts with people caring a whole lot more about these kids and saying it out loud. These kids deserve better, they deserve life, love and a chance to grow up. Go gold this month and raise awareness, let the world know we won’t sit back and be quiet while our children continue to die.
