For Midwifery Week, we’re celebrating some of our midwives who are also athletes! 💪 Back in May, one of our midwives Josi Berry, along with Shannon Pirrie, and Heather O'Meara from University Nurse-Midwives: University of Colorado Hospital ran the Colfax Marathon Relay with the team name O***y Achievers. All three are also alumni of the nurse-midwifery program at the University of Colorado Anschutz College of Nursing. Great job! 🏃

We are very happy to introduce Brooke Sand, WHNP, who is joining our practice!

Brooke brings a strong background in women’s health, with prior experience as both a labor and delivery nurse and a community reproductive health nurse. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University in 2021 and completed the University of Colorado Anschutz College of Nursing's Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program in 2025.

Her clinical interests include preventive care, gynecologic health, contraception and family planning, and menopause management. Brooke is known for her thoughtful, approachable style and her commitment to helping patients feel informed, respected, and actively involved in decisions about their care.
