Humans are made to connect. While connections made & nurtured in online spaces can be wonderful, it’s also important to have some ways of connecting with your self & others in embodied ways.

How are you making this happen these days? Inspire us…we need it.

That mental overload you are feeling is real. Here’s a fantastic article about the third quarter phenomenon and what you can do about it.

If your family story holds trauma and this time of sheltering in place is becoming difficult, please join Dr. Omar Reda and I on Tuesday evening. We'll be talking about how trauma works, how families can thrive in this time, and more. Feel free to share this with anyone you know who might benefit from this gathering.

So Important, Thank you Robyn :)

Welcome to what feels like day 3,457 of a nationwide shelter in place that started roughly 3 weeks ago. (March was the longest decade ever, am I right?)  You've cooked dinner every.single.night of the week.

What a week it has been! This last week many of us changed jobs or lost jobs, moved offices, began homeschooling, had exciting events canceled and have had to adapt in many new and different ways. Yet we are still showing up. I hope you are proud of the ways you are adapting and growing. You have done extraordinary things this week - yay you 🙂 What are some of the ways you have adapted and grown this week?

One minute of waves. Acknowledge the strength of your own internal waves. Give yourself permission to be still. You’re worth it.

Give yourself permission to pause and feel the feels of the moment. They are hard and big and new and worthy of being recognized. Journal, doodle, run/dance in place (ala flash dance), talk to a trusted loved one, meditate, stare at the ceiling, feel your breath, feel your feelings. You are important, your feelings are valid and important and worth being expressed. What are you feeling today?

Look to the helpers as Fred Rogers always said. In times of uncertainty and fear who are the helpers? I have seen so many helpers emerge in the last few days as people are adapting to this new normal and utilizing different resources to create stability and emotional safety. I encourage you to look to your feed right now and thoughtfully look to the helpers in your connections, who of your influencers are instilling hope and connection and who is instilling fear and anger? How can you set yourself up right now in who you are "surrounded by"? I have received great encouragement from and to name a few. Who are your helpers?
