“It’s obvious, isn't it?”
We've all heard the saying, “we’re the combination of the top five people we spend the most time around.”
Is this true or just someone's idea to sell a plan?
Well... let's see...the people you spend time around and the things they do, say, think, and believe about their world, and are they optimistic, a realist, “stuck,” or successful in one or more areas you'd like to be successful in?
For over a quarter-century, I've spent my time and energy around some of the world's top fitness pros in mastermind groups, and any of my free time is invested in perfecting my craft to a high level.
Not a brag, the truth.
Look at where you are right now in your career...your relationships...your health...is it better, or has it improved since last year, five years ago, over the last decade, or have those things slid down or back?
How do you measure it?
Many people don't because they don't want to rock the boat, or they settle for who settles for them, keep the same old job because they don't want to improve by learning new skills and figure “I’m over the hill (at 30-35 years of age) so why try?
We most likely are not friends.
Harsh, maybe.
I’m very guarded about my time and will not freely give it away to anyone for any reason unless it moves us both forward in a positive direction.
No time for gossip or around people with little to no ambition.
You're hungry to learn and grow, cool...if not and have excuse after excuse...you’ll get one, maybe two shots...then you might be part of the recent changes I've made, and you'll be removed from my “always on my mind” list.
We “grow up,” not down, and indeed, when it's time to level up, you'll feel it unless you buckle under social or family pressure and stay the “baby of the family.”
Times have changed, but we must grow up and mature in some nudged school by ourselves or the crew we associate with.
Want to grow and follow your dreams... don't waste your time on those with any.
It's a holiday weekend, again.
Serious about your fitness, see you first thing...if not, enjoy your weekend and see you Monday.
