During these times of uncertainty we are all looking ahead and wondering when this will all end and we can get back to a sense of "normality". Times are challenging for all of us and we may see no end in sight or the light looks dim, at times not even on. This pandemic will have repercussions felt for years to come. Our mental & emotional health is not only being tested now but we still have yet to see how this trauma will manifest in our communities and its members and to be honest that scares me. Just like we were not prepared for this health crisis, we are not prepared for the mental health crisis that will arise. Our system continues to fail Latinx people, we have excruciating poor leadership and our communities continue to suffer at the hands of capitalist monsters. I, like all of you, feel the immensity of all of this. Besides praying for it to end, I want to make it an even bigger mission to be there for my latinx community and support their mental and emotional wellbeing. My people, my community and my family are in this together with you all. We are not alone, we will, as always, come out resilient and strong yet we cant ignore that we will need even more support along the way. Please tag all organizations, agencies or individuals supporting the latinx community to share resources! Wishing you all a blessed & safe week 🙏🏽💜💛
