o golden year aged adults. He consults with clients inside and out from educating clients on the most up-to-date science on reducing inflammation and increasing healing, to preventative care practices for athletes, weekend warriors, and all who thrive, even if it means at a desk or in the home! As a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP), Dr. Sandahl is the go-to Long Beach source for sports injuries, automobile accidents, and ending joint and disk damage from head-to toe and limb-to-limb. Dr. Sandahl treats many professional athletes. Dr. Sandahl graduated from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1995. Dr. Sandahl’s training from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego, has enabled him to be classified as a specialist in Whiplash and Brain Injury Traumatology. Dr. Sandahl was the selected Chiropractor for the 2009 World Long Drive Championship held October 26-30, in Mesquite, NV. Dr. Sandahl is a lifetime alumni at LACC/SCUHS and a California Chiropractic Association member, (CCA). Dr. Sandahl’s Great Grandfather Christian C. Peterson started practicing Chiropractic 1912. Chiropractic was not legalized in CA until January 1, 1923 and Dr. Peterson was jailed for practicing medicine without a license. In 1924 Dr. Peterson received the 13th license issued in the state of CA; however it was numbered license #14 for superstitious reasons. Dr. Sandahl is a proud father of two - ages 7 and 10 - and his children lead the “Kids for Chiropractic Club” in and around the office. Many children can be found hanging upside down from the inversion tables, practicing balance activities before and after their adjustments with their families. Dr. Sandahl’s Chiropractic philosophy is that the body is a self-healing organism when not interfered with by subluxations (spinal and extremity misalignments, causing miscommunication in the body), environmental toxins, bad diet, and lack of exercise. Chiropractic should be the conservative approach taken before someone decides to take drugs or have surgery. When following a holistic approach, which includes chiropractic care of the spine and extremities, patients almost always get better! Recently, Dr. Sandahl participated in the Long Beach International City Bank Marathon and out of 17,000 runners, he was featured as the one who "Crushed it!.” Check out his page for highlights on his athletic feats!
