A little trip down memory lane! We spent some time talking about dolls from years past, and our friend Amy brought in her Raggedy Ann that her aunt made for her as a child. The ladies loved holding her and sharing stories about the dolls they had as children and the ones they bought for their own kids.

We also had fun looking back at some classics like Shirley Temple dolls and, of course, Barbie! 🎀

We love activities like this that bring back sweet memories and get everyone sharing their own stories. 🥰

Visits from our Valley Christian friends are always so special. ❤️ There’s just something about the energy these young students bring into our home that instantly lights everyone up!

Today it was bubbles, lots of laughs, big smiles and even a little salsa dancing! 🫧💃 Seeing our residents laughing, moving and simply enjoying the moment with these kids is what it’s all about.

So grateful for friendships like these and the joy they continue to bring to our Bella Palms family. 🥰

Today’s activity was all about WORDS OF AFFIRMATION 💕✨

Our ladies created their own “I AM” boards, choosing words that remind them of just how special they are: LOVED, JOYFUL, SMART, UNIQUE, BRAVE, FUN, HONEST and so much more.

No matter our age, we all need to be reminded of the good within us. Sometimes simply saying “I AM loved. I AM strong. I AM worthy.” can brighten a day and lift a spirit. ❤️

With all the sunny days we’ve been blessed to have, our residents were all about the SUN! ☀️

We learned fun facts about the sun, explored the history of sunscreen and discovered how Coco Chanel helped make that sun-kissed glow fashionable. Our ladies even reminisced about their teenage days working on the perfect tan! 😎

We checked out sunspots, vintage Coppertone ads, talked Hawaiian Tropic and enjoyed some favorite songs about sunshine. 🎶🏝️

A fun day of learning, reminiscing and remembering that a little sunshine really does brighten everything! 🌻

Nothing says summer like ice cream! 🍦☀️

Today our residents got creative by making their own adorable ice cream cone art with cotton balls, sprinkles, and lots of imagination. There were smiles, laughs, and plenty of helping hands as everyone put their own unique spin on their masterpiece.

And because no ice cream craft is complete without the real thing, we wrapped up the afternoon by enjoying delicious ice cream cones together! On a warm day like today, it was the perfect sweet treat to cool off and make even more memories. 🍨🍥
