I’ve spent 20 years talking professionally about s*x.
Very little surprises me anymore.
But lately, something in my inbox has made even me stop and ask:
What the hell is going on?
A man contacts me supposedly interested in therapy. His first question sounds legitimate. Then the conversation takes a turn—more explicit details, provocative questions and, occasionally, photographic evidence I never requested.
I’m a s*x therapist. Not a participant in your s*x life.
This raises a much bigger question: Has technology blurred the line between s*xual openness and s*xual access—or has it simply made ignoring boundaries easier?
I examined what research says about unsolicited images, online disinhibition and out-of-control s*xual behavior.
The answer isn’t as simple as “people are becoming more s*xual.”
But one thing is clear:
S*x-positive does NOT mean boundary-free.
