Surgery may have fixed the original problem — but that doesn’t always mean your body immediately goes back to moving and feeling the way it did before.
After gallbladder removal, bariatric surgery, hernia repair, or other abdominal procedures, months of guarding, altered movement, reduced activity, and changes in sensory input can influence how your nervous system coordinates movement and responds to discomfort.
That’s why we’re not just “working on tight muscles.”
We use targeted bodywork, movement, and nervous-system-based strategies to help the brain and body feel safer moving again, restore confidence in movement, and gradually improve mobility and function.
If you’re 6+ months post-surgery, medically cleared, but still dealing with lingering pain, stiffness, guarding, or difficulty getting back to normal movement, you may need a different approach than another stretch or massage.
