It's National Breastfeeding Month, and we partner with Mothers' Milk Bank, where breastfeeding mothers can donate excess milk. Donated milk is critical for premature babies, as it can save lives with its immune-boosting properties and essential nutrients.

August is National Breastfeeding Month, and we're here to support families every step of the way. We're resharing these helpful tips from Ana Williams, MSN, CNM, IBCLC, on what families should know about breastfeeding.

CU Nursing midwife Ana Williams shares what families need to know about breastfeeding.

August is National Breastfeeding Month, and we’re here to help you build a foundation for a sustainable breastfeeding journey. Whether it’s your first baby or your third, preparing early is one of the best ways to make sure you and your baby feel ready.

How to plan for a strong start:
● Learn the basics: Sign up for a breastfeeding class during pregnancy
● Building your team: Talk to your partner, family, and your provider about your goals
● Protect your supply: Learn how to build and protect your milk supply from day one
● Stay curious: Ask questions at the hospital, when you visit our clinic, or with another provider

Every feeding journey looks different. No matter your goals, we're here to provide guidance, resources, and encouragement to help you and your baby thrive.
