There's a plant most people try to get rid of. We built a candle around it instead.
Tenacious Bloom opens with wild strawberry and red grape — bright, unhurried. Geranium and white rose settle into the heart. Warm musk grounds it into something that feels less like a flower and more like a thing that decided to grow anyway. Thats what Shizen brings - nature, unforced. Scents & Sips is back — this time, it's just the two of us.
Woodland Dream first, because it always goes first: casaba melon and sage up top, dark violet and eucalyptus settling in, bamboo and amber underneath. The scent that tells you the day is actually over.
Then the pour: Gaia's Monograph Agiorgitiko, from Nemea, Greece — a native grape, grown with real respect for the place it comes from. Red-purple, soft tannins, notes of pomegranate and prickly pear with a hint of butterscotch. Fruity, unhurried, a little soulful — not unlike the candle it's sitting next to.
Candle first. Wine after. That's still the rule. 🕯🍷
