5 Pathways Acupuncture

5 Pathways Acupuncture Classic Five-Element Acupuncture for achieving wellness through the natural path to healing. In this way acupuncture can help with a multitude of maladies.

Acupuncture works with the meridians of energy found in the body using that energy called Qi. The manifestation of illness stems from lack of balance in the body. Each session is an assessment of where the imbalance is occurring and the use of needles, moxa and cupping to help the body, mind, and spirit correct the imbalance. The beauty of this medicine is its simplicity.

What are the Five Elements of Chinese Traditional Medicine?

🪵Wood (Spring) Emphasizing Mobility and Detoxification
🔥Fire (Summer)) Calming the Mind, Nurturing Joy and Supporting Heart Energy
🌎Earth (Late Summer) Grounding Techniques, Abdominal Work and Supporting Digestion
🔘Metal (Autumn) Focusing on Breath, Skin and Grief
💧Water (Winter) Slow, Warming, Deeply Nourishing Bodywork that Supports Rest and Fear

These together represent cycles of energy that influence nature, the body and emotions.

They are interconnected, just as everything in nature.

Understanding the different aspects that make each element the way they are can help you personally.

At 5 Pathways Acupuncture, we can help you find your predominant element, teach you how it affects your everyday living experiences, and how to tap into better nourishment and balance.

“Several months into my first pregnancy, I was experiencing some pretty severe lower back pain, but obviously my options for pain management were limited. It was suggested I try acupuncture and Sarah came highly recommended by a colleague of mine. I came into the office fairly nervous since I wasn't sure what to expect or whether this type of practice would be for me. Sarah put me at ease very quickly with her positive attitude as well as her evident experience. The session turned out not only to be very relaxing but I was already experiencing pain relief after just one treatment. I now look forward to my treatments and plan to continue even after I deliver. I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for effective acupuncture treatments in a comfortable and professional environment.” ~ Jill L. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In moxibustion, every element has a purpose, and salt plays a quietly powerful role.

Placed between the skin and the moxa, salt acts as both a buffer and a bridge. It protects while also helping the warmth travel deeper, guiding heat into areas that need nourishment and support.

This technique is often used to tonify, warm, and restore balance in the body - especially in areas connected to digestion, energy, and overall vitality. 🔄

It’s a beautiful reminder that even the simplest elements can hold profound healing potential when used with intention. 🩵

I’ll be honest, I’m a little obsessed with moxa smoke.💨

There’s something about the way it moves…slow, steady, intentional. Before the warmth is even felt on the body, there’s already a shift happening.

For many, it creates an immediate sense of calm. A softening. A quieting of the nervous system.

In traditional practice, moxibustion is used to warm, move, and support the body’s natural flow of energy. But there’s also something less tangible, an experience that invites you to slow down and simply be. ✨

It’s one of those moments in treatment where everything just…settles.
