Yoga should never be reduced to fitness. And we shouldn’t expect yoga to be the backbone of our movement health either.
In our culture, many fitness enthusiasts find yoga as a gateway to body intelligence and personal growth. But when it is used solely for fitness, we (and especially women) are doing ourselves a significant disservice. Bone, muscle mass and coordination are key longevity factors that simply aren’t addressed by asana.
If you want guidance on what deficits exist in your fitness and movement regimen, and how to address it, get on my calendar for massage, training or coaching.
I love this stuff 🤓

The science is solid - we lay the groundwork for our last decade in our 30s & 40s.
Follow the steps. It takes less than 10 minutes. Do it with your kids. Do it with your dog. Do it with your Mom. Just do it, and help them do it too.
Need accountability, motivation, guidance? I got you 😉 Booking coaching and movement clients on the website

Tell off that voice in your head that says:
“I don’t deserve it.”
“I’m not exhausted yet.”
“I don’t have the time to rest.”
Instead:
Create time
Honor your nervous system
Learn to observe your ego.
It’s YOUR time. Choose wisely!

There’s nothing quite like laying on the grass in the summertime, watching the wind in the leaves and birds going to nest. Add Frank’s soft hand on the singing bowls, swinging chimes and spinning triangle, and we’ve got a recipe for peace.
Our first sound bath was truly inspiring for us to continue bringing sound and yoga experiences outdoors.
The next one is set for Wednesday, August 12 from 7-8pm.

We know that committing to rest is not always easy, and we are here BECAUSE of that.
It is no small task to develop a mindset that is open rest.
It’s the kind that says:
“I have support” or “I will find/create support”
“I can stop and everything will be ok.”
“I accept imperfection.”
“I choose to find silence in the chaos.”
Trust is not blind. Instead, it requires that we take a bigger look at important themes in our lives. But it is worth it. YOU are worth it.
May you find the quiet spaces that nurture
