I need your help!!!!

📢 Attention, Board of Directors!

An emergency meeting has been called between Management and Accounting here at HeB & GB's Farm.

Accounting has reviewed this month's payroll and has raised a serious concern...

We currently employ 51 full-time staff members on the egg production team, and not a single one has produced an egg yet. 🥚😅

As a result, Accounting has officially requested a hiring freeze.

Unfortunately, Management has pointed out one small problem...

We already have 72 quail recruits and 15 chicken recruits in Lockdown. Contracts are signed, orientation is underway, and they could report for duty any day now. At this point... we're already committed! 😂

Management insists these employees are simply "future top producers."

Accounting insists they're "51 adorable freeloaders."

Negotiations have reached a standstill, so we're turning to the only people who can settle this once and for all...

🥚 Today's Farm Lesson: What is "Lockdown"?

If you've ever watched people hatch chicks or quail, you've probably heard them say, "They're going into lockdown!" But what does that actually mean?

Lockdown is the final stage of incubation before hatch day. At this point, the babies are getting into position, absorbing the last of their yolk, and preparing to pip their way into the world.

During lockdown we: 🐣 Stop turning the eggs. 💧 Increase the humidity. 🚫 Keep the incubator closed as much as possible.

This gives the chicks and quail the best chance at a successful hatch.

Today our chicken eggs and quail eggs both go into lockdown, so the countdown is officially on! Now comes the hardest part...waiting. 😄

🎉🐥 Happy 100 Days to Our Feathered Crew! 🐥🎉

It's hard to believe these little fluff balls have already reached 100 days old! ❤️

Watching them grow from tiny chicks into curious, funny, and unique members of our flock has been one of the greatest joys of our farm. Every one of them has developed a personality of their own—from the bold explorers to the sweet lap chickens and the mischievous troublemakers. 🥰

These photos are a little trip down memory lane... Then ➡️ Now. It's amazing how much can change in just 100 days!

Thank you to everyone who's followed along on this journey, celebrated each hatch, and cheered on our growing flock. We can't wait to see what the next 100 days have in store! 🐔💚
