Ralph J. Turner, MD

Dr. Ralph J. Turner, originally from Central Texas, is a Distinguished Alumnus of McMurry University in Abilene, where he completed his undergraduate studies. He earned his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his internship and residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Turner specializes in menopause management and minimally invasive surgery. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Turner is notably the first NAMS Certified Menopausal Practitioner in East Texas and is recognized for his international lectures and publications on menopause. He practices at Women's Health Center at Tyler, where he enjoys caring for his patients in East Texas.

Melissa Slovak-Tucker, MD

Dr. Slovak, a graduate of Daingerfield High School in 1992, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Texas. She continued her education at Texas Tech University Medical School, where she obtained her medical degree. After completing her residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in 2004, Dr. Slovak joined Northeast Texas Women's Health PA to be closer to her family and to work alongside Dr. Mason. She is married to her husband Michael and they have two sons, Matthew and Micah.

John Shum, MD

Position: OB/GYN
Practice: Gynecology, OB/GYN
Location: Longview Main

Dr. Shum, originally from Amarillo, Texas, completed his undergraduate studies in Chemistry at Baylor University and attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He underwent Family Medicine training at UTHCT in Tyler and specialized in OB/GYN at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. Dr. Shum met his wife during his family medicine training, and together, they have two daughters, born during his OB/GYN residency. In 2007. Dr. Shum returned to East Texas, where he continues to expand his family and serve the local communities.
