🌹 A moment that melts your heart ❤️
Lydia carefully made a Mother’s Day bracelet for Susie, pouring all her love into every bead. Susie was overjoyed — praising her endlessly and beaming with pure happiness. The joy between them was beautiful to witness. Lydia grew up in Adult Family Homes since she was 2 months old. After 4 years in other AFH and 2 years here at Longview AFH until March, these residents are her family. She still visits 1–2 times a week because her heart belongs here. This sweet idea was all hers — no one asked. She just wanted to give something made by her own hands to the women she loves. Pure, innocent love.

Nothing beats a home-cooked meal made with love! 🍝

Tonight, one of our residents asked for spaghetti with ground beef and tomato sauce seasoned with Italian herbs — and we made it happen! The whole table was filled with laughter as everyone enjoyed this comforting, hearty dinner together. At our adult family home, we don’t follow strict menus. We’re a family, so we cook what our residents actually want. Sometimes they request their favorites, sometimes we surprise them with new recipes from TV, magazines, or ones they bring us themselves. Simple joys like this make every day special.

Lobby Day in Olympia – Standing Up for Our Elders!

It was truly a pleasure to meet Senator Jeff Wilson (19th District) during Lobby Day at the Capitol! We are so grateful to have legislators like Senator Wilson who continue to stand strong for Washington’s seniors and our adult family homes. In a year when several bills threaten deeper cuts to Medicaid funding — which would directly impact the quality care we provide to our Medicaid residents — it means everything to know we have champions fighting for our elders. Thank you, Senator Jeff Wilson, for your time, your leadership, and your unwavering support of long-term care! Together, we will keep protecting the dignity and quality of life for every senior in our care.

What a special Valentine's Dinner at Longview Adult Family Home LLC! Our residents voted for pizza dinner and loved every bite. The kids brought pure joy with gifts: a single beautiful rose for every single resident, plus chocolate for those who could enjoy it. Jimmy had us all laughing as he playfully pretended to nibble on his rose—while the sweet child tried everything to stop him!
