We are proud to support cancer survivors throughout their recovery journey. One specialized service we offer is lymphedema care, which can be essential for individuals who have undergone cancer treatments such as surgery, radiation, or lymph node removal.

Lymphedema can cause swelling, discomfort, and limitations in daily activities, but early intervention and specialized treatment can make a significant difference. We provide COMPLETE DECONGESTIVE THERAPY to manage lymphedema, including education, manual lymphatic drainage, therapeutic exercise, compression bandaging and ongoing support to help patients regain function and improve their quality of life.

You don't have to navigate recovery alone. At U First, we're committed to helping cancer survivors heal, thrive, and return to the activities they love with confidence.

Compassionate care. Specialized treatment. Your wellness comes first.

A day spent doing what I love(on the side, aside from patient care) —- teaching, sharing, and helping shape the next generation of PTAs! 💙

Today I had the opportunity to be a guest lecturer for the PTA program, talking about pelvic floor physical therapy and Section GG/FIM outcome measures.

It was such a rewarding experience to share real-world clinical experiences, discuss the importance of recognizing pelvic health needs, and remind future PTAs that sometimes the most important part of patient care is simply knowing what questions to ask, what to look for, and when to refer.

Grateful for the opportunity to give back to the profession, connect with future clinicians, and hopefully inspire them to see pelvic health as an important part of whole-person care. 🫶🏼

Teaching today, investing in the future tomorrow. 💙

Pelvicon 2026 gave me the opportunity to learn from incredible clinicians, hear different perspectives, reconnect with familiar faces, and build new friendships with people who share the same passion for improving pelvic health.

We covered so MANY important topics:

-endometriosis
-estrogen
-pain science
-Diastasis recti
-co**al incontinence
-maternal health and mortality
-spirituality in healthcare
-whole-person care
-and everything pelvic health

But beyond the clinical knowledge, one message really stayed with me:

There is a whole person sitting in front of us—not just a diagnosis, a symptom, or a body part.

As a physical therapist, it can be easy to focus on what hurts, what isn’t working, or what needs to be “fixed.” But our patients bring their stories, experiences, fears, beliefs, families, responsibilities, and hopes with them into every session.

And if I want to truly help someone, I have to be willing to see all of them.

That is why the theme of this year’s Pelvicon: “DISRUPT” really resonated with me.

I want to continue questioning the way things have always been done. I want to keep asking “why?” I want to challenge the idea that pain, leaking, pelvic dysfunction, or feeling uncomfortable in your own body is something you simply have to accept.

And I want everyone, most especially the patients I care for, to know that they deserve care that listens, looks deeper, and treats them as a whole person.

I’m coming home from Pelvicon with new knowledge, new ideas, renewed passion, and an even stronger commitment to the mission behind U First Physical Therapy & Wellness.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to keep learning so I can continue serving my patients better.

Because this work is personal to me.
And because at U First, YOU truly come first. 💙🌿
