Art with Heart went into full MONSTER MODE at The Eastman! 👹🎨

With our upcoming Monster Mash Burger Bash just around the corner, our residents got their creative juices flowing and designed their very own monsters!

Spooky, silly, scary, and downright adorable, each monster has its own personality, complete with one-of-a-kind faces, colorful details, and plenty of character. A few even have names! 😂💚

We had so much fun watching everyone's imagination come to life, and these monstrously creative masterpieces are ready to make their debut at our Monster Mash Burger Bash!

The Eastman Lunch Bunch Crew hit the road for a delicious outing to Cheddar’s!

There’s something special about getting out, sharing a meal, and enjoying wonderful conversation with friends. From the tasty food to the laughter around the table, it was an afternoon well spent!

At The Eastman Assisted Living in Longview, Texas, we love creating opportunities for our residents to stay active, enjoy local outings, and make lasting memories together.

A little spooky, a little sweet, and a whole lot of creativity! 🎃👻🎨
Our Art with Heart Club at The Eastman Senior Living was filled with Halloween fun as residents enjoyed a festive ceramic painting party!
A big thank you to Kelsey from Prime Care for bringing the adorable Halloween figurines and hosting such a fun afternoon. From colorful pumpkins and jack-o’-lanterns to friendly little ghosts, each creation was as unique as the artist behind it!
Our residents had a wonderful time painting, laughing, and adding their personal touches to their masterpieces. We can't wait to display these spook-tacular creations throughout our community for everyone to enjoy! 🧡

A little creativity, a little science, and a whole lot of patience! 🎨✨

Our Art with Heart group tried something new this week—cornstarch molds! Jimmy got us started by mixing up our cornstarch mixture, and then everyone added their own creative touch with flowers, hearts, food coloring, and plenty of glitter. No two creations are alike!

Now comes the hard part… waiting! 😄 Our molds need to cure for 24–48 hours, and if our recipe worked just right, they should dry clear with all of those colorful little treasures encased inside to create beautiful charms.

We’re crossing our fingers and trying to be patient. Stay tuned for the big reveal! 🤞✨

A little something sweet was on the menu at The Eastman! 🍓❤️

Leslie, Barbara, Becky, JoAnn, and Norma had so much fun making their own mini strawberry shortcakes—and we think treats taste even better when you make them yourself!

Fresh strawberries, fluffy cake, and plenty of whipped topping made for one delicious afternoon. And judging by these creations, a few of our ladies believe there’s no such thing as too much whipped cream! 😂

There’s nothing quite like a visit from a four-legged friend! 🐾❤️

A huge thank you to Kelsey from Prime Care and her husband for bringing sweet Lucy to visit our residents at The Eastman!

Lucy brought plenty of smiles as residents enjoyed petting her, watching her show off her tricks, and, of course, sneaking her a few treats. Visits like these are such a fun way to bring joy, connection, and companionship into our assisted living community in Longview.

Lucy definitely made some new friends at The Eastman, and we’re already looking forward to her next visit!

A little road trip can make for the perfect afternoon! 🚌

The Eastman crew traveled to Carthage, Texas, to visit the Jim Reeves Memorial. It was such a peaceful place to slow down, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and spend time together.

Country music legend Jim Reeves and his beloved dog, Cheyenne, are both laid to rest at the memorial, making the visit especially meaningful for our resident Jimmy, who just might be Jim Reeves’ biggest fan!

We love our opportunities to explore East Texas, revisit favorite memories, and experience places that hold a special meaning.

We celebrated all week long at The Eastman with plenty of fun, laughter, and a little extra flair!

From Hat Day to Western Day, our residents and team members had a great time dressing up and getting into the spirit. Yee-haw! 🤠

The Western fun continued as our residents headed out to a local barn dance hosted by the East Texas Silver Citizens Coalition - ETSCC. Did you see the pictures from their dancing adventure?

And no celebration is complete without something sweet. A special thank you to Hospice of East Texas for treating our residents to a delicious ice cream bar. 🍨

It was a wonderful week filled with community, connection, and plenty of reasons to celebrate!

What a wonderful day at the annual Barn Dance! 🤠🎶

The Eastman was so thankful to be invited to this special event hosted by the East Texas Silver Citizens Coalition - ETSCC. It’s always a joy to come together with other seniors and communities from across the Longview and East Texas area.

From fantastic live music and dancing to games, new friendships, and delicious ice cream, there was plenty to enjoy. Our residents danced the day away, shared lots of laughs, and made memories we won’t soon forget.

Thank you to the East Texas Senior Citizens Coalition for bringing everyone together for another wonderful Barn Dance. We’re already looking forward to next year! ❤️
