🎉🐶 Happy National Dog Day from all of us at Thrive at Brow Wood! 🐶🎉

Today was full of tail wags and plenty of smiles! Our residents kicked off the morning with special themed “dog treats” with their coffee, followed by a fun-filled afternoon of creative paw-painting masterpieces. 🎨☕ The highlight of the day was a visit from our sweet therapy dog pals! 🐾 Watching our community light up with pure joy was so special to see.

Today was oFISHally the best! We had a blast at our "Under the Sea" party in The Loft 🐠🌊

While the party was hosted in our Memory Care neighborhood, one of our favorite things about Thrive is how intertwined we all are. Residents from across our entire community came together to join in on the fun, music, and trivia!

An event this FIN-tastic doesn't just happen on its own. We are so proud of our dedicated team members who brought their energy, creativity, and hearts to make today so special. Seeing the smiles and laughter shared between our residents, family members, and team members is exactly why we love what we do.

We had the best time at the Lookout Mountain 4th of July Parade today. Seeing everyone lined up, waving flags, and catching up with neighbors reminds us why being a part of the Lookout community is so special. We feel so lucky to call this mountain home.

It's hard to believe this post was a year ago. In just a few days, it will be one year since Lisa, one of our beloved team members, passed away. Right before she passed, she and her husband, Joe, created these beautiful flower boxes in our courtyard for everyone to enjoy. 💐Our residents loved planting flowers with her, and they have continued to care for and cultivate Lisa's flower boxes ever since. Her fingerprints are all over our community, and we miss her dearly!

Earlier this year, our talented residents had the opportunity to participate in an incredible Artist Trading Card Swap organized by Abby Painter! 🎨💌

After seeing Abby's call for artists on social media, our Activities Assistant, Betsy, knew this would be a meaningful way for our residents to share their creativity with others. Residents created their own miniature works of art centered around the theme of LOVE and mailed them off to be exchanged with artists from around the world.

Residents poured their hearts into their creations, knowing their artwork would bring joy to someone they've never met. And when the cards began arriving back from artists near and far, there was so much anticipation, wonder, and appreciation for the unique stories and talents shared through each piece. And we had the perfect spot in our lobby to feature our new friends!

This project was a beautiful reminder that art has the power to connect people across generations, communities, and even continents. Thank you to Abby for creating such a special opportunity, and to Betsy for helping our residents share their creativity with the world! ❤️🎨✨

A familiar face in a new role 💙☀️

Before stepping into her role as Memory Care Coordinator, Zoe was a beloved member of our caregiving team. She built meaningful relationships with residents and families through her compassion, patience, and genuine heart for serving others.

Today, that same dedication shines as she focuses on her new role here, creating opportunities for Memory Care residents to stay active, engaged, and connected. Whether she's taking residents on a walk, arranging flowers, playing games, enjoying fresh air on the front porch, or sharing a simple conversation, Zoe understands that some of the most meaningful moments happen in everyday interactions.

Her heart has always been with our Loft residents, and we're so grateful to have her leading the way with warmth, kindness, and a commitment to helping each resident live with purpose and joy. Congratulations again, Zoe! We're so proud of you! 💙✨

When Pat and Jan became next-door neighbors here, they had no idea they were about to become best friends. Now, you'll often find them walking side by side to meals and activities, sharing laughs, swapping stories, and finding humor in all the same things! 🤍

These two are a reminder that some of life's sweetest connections happen when you least expect them. No matter your age, there's always room for new memories, new adventures, and new friendships!

If you ask Jan and Charlie how long they've been married, they will smile and say, "More years than you can imagine!" ❤️

Whether they are sharing a meal, going for a drive, or joining in on an activity here, they make the most of each day by spending their time together.

The other day, Charlie serenaded the room with "Jericho Road" while he strummed on his guitar, and Jan BEAMED as she watched the love of her life perform a favorite tune. These little moments highlight a love that continues to show up, day after day. We love having a front row seat to their sweet story!
