Playing outside is not neglect.
Walking home from the park is not neglect.
Giving kids age-appropriate independence is not neglect.

A new bill introduced in Congress, the Promoting Childhood Independence and Resilience Act, could help protect parents who give their kids the freedom to do normal childhood things.

At Let Grow, we believe kids need more real-world independence, and parents shouldn’t be punished for giving it to them.

Making plans for the summer? Consider helping your kids build their pack!

🚨NEW WEBINAR! What if the missing piece in childhood isn’t another activity, but more kids to run with?

Join Let Grow’s upcoming webinar, Why Kids Need a Pack, Not Just a Playdate, for a powerful conversation about the kind of play kids are craving: unstructured, mixed-age, kid-led, real-world play.

The kind where they make the rules, solve the problems, handle the disagreements, and build the confidence that comes from figuring things out together.

Because kids don’t just grow through play.

They grow through each other.

Register today and learn how to bring back the pack! https://bit.ly/4wCM02S

Building friendships often starts with something small—a compliment, a question, or a shared moment. Yet many of us hesitate, underestimating how open others are to connection. This article highlights how simple phrases can ease that uncertainty, showing that connection isn’t always complex, but often begins with everyday curiosity and a willingness to reach out.
