Movie Night at the Purissima Park August 7th, 2026, 6:30-10:30pm, Join us for a magical summer evening at Purissima Park for an outdoor dinner and movie night!

🎬Before the movie begins, set up your cozy spot and grab a bite from Daniel's kitchen food truck for dinner and for desert treats from Mister Softee's. As the sun sets, settle in for a beloved film on a massive outdoor screen. Plus, enjoy freshly popped popcorn and glow giveaways!

🎥Don’t forget to bring your own chairs and blankets for the ultimate movie night comfort. Our Featured movie is Zootopia 2!

The Town of Los Altos Hills invites the community to attend a public hearing on the proposed designation of the Juan Bautista de Anza Trail at the City Council meeting on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

🗓️ Date: August 20, 2026
🕕 Time: 6:00 p.m.
📍 Location: Town Council Chambers

Learn more about the proposed trail designation and share your comments with the City Council. The meeting agenda packet will be posted on the Town website prior to the meeting.

👨‍🎓 Are you or anyone you know Interested in learning more about chess? Stay tuned for informative fun class that teaches the fundamentals of the game and how to play like a pro!

What's covered are samples from:

DF_Knights Checkmate Pattern:

- Smothered Mate: Is a chess pattern. It occurs when the king has no escape squares and is checkmated by a knight.

DF_Knights Chess Composition:

- Chess Compositions: Chess compositions are carefully structured puzzles crafted by composers to provide students with opportunities to practice and enhance their skills. These exercises focus on achieving checkmate against any conceivable defense, thereby improving strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

DF_Knights Chess Course Example:

- Chess Compositions: This course will be comprehensively detailed throughout the chess program, tailored to the skill levels of the students.

There are going to be multiple chess activities - standing puzzles - maze puzzles - chess tournaments etc...

🇺🇸Los Altos Hills you brought the sparkle this 4th of July! Huge cheers to everyone who came out to make this celebration one for the books!

🌞 We kicked off pre-parade festivities with our mayor’s spirited 4th of July kickoff speech; the band kept the celebration energy and vibes rolling while banner walkers lead the way!
From perfect weather to fun games and art, a buzzing coffee cart, juicy watermelons, dazzling face painting, 4th swag, and festive music with family and friends, the holiday was pure summertime magic!

🤩 We loved seeing all the incredible outfits, banners, and special animal friends, including the amazing Horsemen’s Association, LAH/SCC Fire, LAH CERT and Sherifs. It truly was a beautiful day all around.

🤝 Huge shout‑out to our hardworking team for setting the stage and bringing this event to life—you guys' rock!

Thank you to everyone who showed up and showed out for another unforgettable celebration, we couldn't have done it without you LAH!!! 🎉🇺🇸✨
