Join me this Saturday, August 8, at in Malibu, California.
Together we’ll explore the many benefits of yoga by refining our postures while learning how to access what is often called the subtle body—the energetic dimension of the practice. This is one of the fundamental differences between yoga and exercise.
Asana teaches us how to direct and expand the breath into different areas of the body, creating greater lightness, stability, and buoyancy. Over time, the physical practice prepares us for pranayama, the practice of refining and directing the breath. As the breath becomes steadier and more subtle, the mind naturally begins to quiet, creating the foundation for meditation.
In this workshop, we’ll explore the relationship between asana, pranayama, and meditation, and then conclude with a walk along the beach, taking in the restorative prana of the ocean.
I hope you’ll join us.
