Very excited to take part in this art exhibit, opening early this September in Berkeley, CA at the ACCI gallery.

"In the Presence of Pomegranates" emphasizes the pomegranate as a symbol of beauty, abundance, and mysticism.

My submission was an aromatic one - of course! At the generous encouragement of the curator Holly DeFount

I suggested my "Song of Solomon anointing oil" which is comprised of some of the ancient botanicals as mentioned in the beautiful, lyrical, ancient and romantic Song of Songs. The botanicals are blended in a base of Pomegranate oil.

"Thy plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits, camphire, with Spikenard and Saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of Frankincense, myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices." ~The Song of Solomon

My Song of Solomon anointing oil will be available at "In the Presence of Pomegranates" exhibit for sample and purchase.

I really love the smell of fresh birch bark. It always reminds me of my dad chopping wood in the forest where I grew up in Eastern PA, near the Delaware River. ♥️✨

Still feeling so nourished and inspired from a recent visit to one of my most favorite museums in LA, the Getty Villa. Even better, I got to go there with Genifer, one of my most favorite people in the world!

I've realized, long ago, that such museum trips are crucial in keeping my own creative wheels refreshed and turning.

Included visuals include: Genifer and I at one of the villas many beautiful fountains, their formidable collection of ancient Roman glass vessels, perfume bottles, and storage flasks, a beautiful sculptural fragment of a face, Genifer's lovely photo of the garden and fountain walkway, a water garden with blooming lotus flowers, and a collection of Venus statues. ✨⚱️

I'm looking forward to releasing my Autumn 2021 Curated Scent Collection, which posts on 8.1.2021.
