As aquamation becomes more widely available, we’ve been receiving more questions about it. Can aquamated remains be used with a Bios Urn®? And is flame cremation or aquamation better for growing a tree?

Both can be used, and we don’t recommend one method over the other.

What matters more is choosing the right tree or plant for where it will grow and giving it the care it needs. Whenever possible, go native. We really can’t recommend this enough.

Whichever you choose, a little TLC goes a long way 💚

They say the older the fiddler, the sweeter the tune. And perhaps there’s something to that 💚

Growing older looks different for everyone. Maybe it means slowing down a little. Or maybe it means travelling somewhere you’ve always wanted to go, picking up a new hobby, spending more time outdoors, or simply having more time for the people and things that matter to you.

There’s no one way to age, and we quite like that. What matters is being able to keep making your own choices and living life on your own terms, whatever your chapter.

Today, here’s to growing older and doing it your way.

One decision can mean another chance for someone else.

One organ donor can save up to eight lives, while tissue and eye donation can help many more. But it all starts with a decision and making sure the people close to us know our wishes.

On World Organ Donation Day, we're taking a moment to remember just how much that decision can mean 💚

We've shared several stories and articles about organ and tissue donation over the years. If you'd like to learn more, you can find them on Bios blog https://urnabios.com/?s=donor

If this showed up on your feed, consider it your reminder to stay hydrated.

Summer adventures are even better when everyone stays cool and hydrated. Top up your pets' water bowls, water your plants during the cooler hours of the day, and if you're heading out for a walk with your furry friend, remember to test the pavement first. If it's too hot for the back of your hand, it's too hot for their paws.

A little extra care goes a long way. Have a safe and happy summer ☀️💚

Some of life's most important decisions are easier to make when there's time to reflect.

Pre-planning gives you the opportunity to think about what matters most and put your wishes into words, without the pressure of making decisions in difficult moments. It's a thoughtful step that can bring clarity, reassurance, and peace of mind for both you and the people you love.

If you're considering pre-planning, our blog explores what it involves and how to begin the conversation. You can read it here: https://urnabios.com/pre-planning-a-meaningful-and-environmentally-friendly-farewell-with-bios-urn/

As our world grows, so does the conversation about how we care for the spaces we share.

In many parts of the world, growing cities and limited land resources are prompting new conversations about how we choose to be remembered. More sustainable memorial options are becoming part of that shift, giving people the opportunity to plan a farewell that reflects both their values and the environment.

Every farewell tells a story. Some stories continue growing through nature 🌳🌲💚

Plastic Free July is a reminder that the choices we make every day add up.

Simple switches, like carrying a reusable water bottle, bringing your own shopping bag, or saying no to plastic cutlery you don't need, can make a difference.

Our latest blog explores one of the many ways scientists are rethinking plastic waste in nature. As promising as the research is, the biggest change still starts with us.

Here's to making more thoughtful choices this month and beyond. Because caring for the planet shouldn't stop when July does.

What is one small swap you've made to reduce your plastic use this year?

Most of us think of extreme heat as a temporary discomfort.

A headache. Poor sleep. Feeling drained after a long day outdoors.

But researchers are beginning to ask a bigger question: could repeated heat exposure affect the way our bodies age?

In our latest blog, we explore the science behind this emerging research in our latest blog post.
