Small shifts can create profound healing progress.đ
Itâs easier said than done in real life, but in clinic I often see how subtle, consistent changes in daily habits begin to ripple through the body in powerful ways:
1. When a patient intentionally avoids known food triggers, they often experience significantly longer stretches without symptom flare-ups.
2. Reducing sugar and refined carbohydrates has been associated with a noticeable decrease in body aches, inflammation, and overall pain levels for some patients. The body often responds quickly when the inflammatory load is reduced.
3. In warmer months, simple âfood as medicineâ cooling practices can make a real difference. One patient found cucumber water especially helpful for managing heat and feeling overheated at night. In traditional food energetics, hydrating, cooling foods like cucumber, daikon radish, and lettuce are often used to gently support the bodyâs ability to regulate internal heat.
These are not dramatic interventions but the body listens to intentional shifts.
Food is one of the most accessible forms of medicine we have. It can become a first line of support before things escalate, and symptoms intensify.
Small changes can be quite significant.
