We often think of the inner critic as something we need to silence. But what if it first developed to protect us?

For many people, that critical voice wasn't something they were born with. It was shaped through experiences where mistakes didn't feel safe, love felt conditional, or being "good enough" seemed necessary to avoid rejection, criticism, or disappointment.

While the inner critic may have once been trying to protect you, it can eventually become the very thing that keeps you feeling stuck, anxious, or never quite enough.

In therapy, the goal isn't to fight that voice, it’s to understand it. As we begin to understand where it came from, we can relate to it with more curiosity and compassion, allowing a kinder, more authentic voice to emerge.

Loss has a way of changing us. It can reshape our relationships, our identity, our sense of safety, and even how we imagine the future. There is no right way to grieve, and there is no timeline for when it should end.

Healing doesn't mean forgetting or leaving someone behind. More often, it means making space for the pain while continuing to make space for love, meaning, and life alongside it.

In therapy, grief isn't something to be fixed. It is something to be honored, witnessed, and carried with compassion.

🌿 Sometimes the greatest act of healing is allowing yourself the space to grieve.

Depression is often more than sadness. At times, it can feel like disconnection from yourself, from others, from meaning, motivation, or even from life itself.

Many people struggling with depression are carrying emotional exhaustion, unresolved pain, loneliness, chronic stress, or a nervous system that has been overwhelmed for too long.

Depression can show up quietly. Sometimes it looks like numbness, withdrawal, fatigue, difficulty feeling present, or moving through life without the same sense of connection or vitality.

Healing is rarely about forcing positivity or “snapping out of it.” Often, it begins with creating space to slow down, understand what may be underneath the suffering, and reconnect with parts of yourself that have felt distant for a long time.

🌿 Through therapy, support, awareness, and compassion bring more connection to those parts, so wholeness can gradually begin to return.

Anxiety is often more than excessive worry or overthinking. At a deeper level, anxiety can be the nervous system’s attempt to stay prepared, alert, and protected, especially after experiences that felt overwhelming, unpredictable, or emotionally unsafe.

Many people living with anxiety are not simply “too sensitive.” Often, their mind and body have learned to anticipate danger, uncertainty, rejection, or loss of control long before it consciously registers.

Over time, this can show up as: racing thoughts, difficulty relaxing, hypervigilance, emotional overwhelm, and trouble feeling fully present or safe.

Working with anxiety is not about “just calming down.” It often involves understanding the underlying emotional patterns, nervous system responses, and experiences that may be contributing to it.

🌿 In therapy, we explore pathways of greater awareness, support, and regulation, so the nervous system can begin to experience more safety, flexibility, and ease.

Healing is rarely one-dimensional. Every person carries a unique story, nervous system, emotional world, and life experience, which is why I tailor therapy to the individual and not just a single approach.

As an integrative and holistic therapist, I draw from different therapeutic modalities depending on your needs, including psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, somatic mindfulness, KAP, ecotherapy, trauma-informed care, and depth-oriented approaches.

Holistic therapy recognizes that emotional well-being is connected to the mind, body, relationships, environment, and deeper sense of meaning. Sometimes healing involves insight and reflection. Other times it involves learning to slow down, reconnect with the body, process unresolved experiences, or develop greater self-compassion.

🌿 My goal is to create a grounded and collaborative space that supports healing on multiple levels, not just symptom reduction, but also deeper transformation and reconnection with yourself.

Ecotherapy is an approach that recognizes the relationship between emotional well-being and our connection to the natural world. Spending intentional time in nature can help regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, increase mindfulness, and create space for reflection and emotional processing.

Nature often invites something different, slowing down, becoming present, and reconnecting with parts of ourselves that can become lost in the pace of everyday life. Ecotherapy may include mindfulness practices outdoors, reflective walks, grounding exercises, or simply learning to be in deeper relationship with the environment around us.

🌿 Sometimes healing begins by stepping outside and remembering that we are part of something larger than ourselves. Stay tuned for upcoming gatherings.

Psychedelic experiences can open the door to meaningful insight, emotions, and new perspectives. But the experience itself is only part of the process.

Integration is the practice of making sense of what emerged and bringing those insights into everyday life in a grounded and sustainable way. Without integration, even powerful experiences can fade or feel difficult to fully understand.

Psychedelic integration therapy provides space to reflect on the experience, process emotions that surfaced, and explore how new awareness can translate into lasting change.

🌿 If you’ve gone through a significant psychedelic experience and are looking for support in making sense of it, feel free to reach out for a consultation, as integration can help transform insight into meaningful and lasting change.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is an emerging approach that combines the therapeutic use of ketamine with guided psychotherapy to support deep emotional healing.

In a safe and supported setting, ketamine can help quiet the mind’s usual defenses, allowing individuals to access thoughts, emotions, and memories from a different perspective. This can be especially helpful for those who feel stuck in depression, anxiety, or long-standing patterns that haven’t shifted through traditional approaches alone.

KAP is not a quick fix. It’s a process that includes preparation, the experience itself, and integration afterward, where meaning and lasting change take shape. When supported with intention and care, KAP can open space for new insight, flexibility, and a renewed sense of possibility.
