One of the most important wellness practices I have learned is also one of the simplest: being fully present.

When we are constantly reaching for our phones, checking notifications, or documenting every moment, we risk missing the experience itself. Some of my favorite memories with family have happened when the screens were put away, and we were simply together sharing conversation, laughter, nature, and quiet moments of connection.

Presence is not just good for our emotional well-being. It supports our physical health as well. Research continues to show that strong relationships, meaningful connections, and reduced stress play an important role in longevity and overall wellness.

The moments we remember most are rarely the ones we captured perfectly. They are the ones we have fully lived.

This week, I invite you to create one screen-free moment with the people you love. Be where your feet are. Listen deeply. Make a memory.

What helps you stay present in your daily life?

Living meditation is not about avoiding life’s challenges — it’s about learning how to move through them with balance and awareness. This was one of the many things we spoke about during my virtual event events for my book The Korean Art of Living Well.

Life will always bring ups and downs, difficult moments, and uncertainty. The question is: do we allow our thoughts to consume us, or do we learn to observe them without becoming them?

Mastering the mind is understanding that we have a choice in how we respond to chaos. When we stay grounded through life’s challenges, we create space for clarity, resilience, and peace. That is living meditation. ✨

There are moments that stay with you, not because of where you are, but because of the connection you feel.

Being surrounded by people who are open, present, and willing to reflect created a space that felt meaningful beyond words. The conversations, the shared stories, and the quiet moments in between are what I carry with me.

This work has always been about bringing people back to themselves. Seeing that come to life in a room like this is something I do not take lightly.

If you feel called to explore this path more deeply, The Korean Art of Living Well is where I share these teachings in a way you can return to, again and again.

Thank you and

True beauty is not just what you see on the surface—it is a reflection of how well your body functions and flows.

When someone asks me about beautiful hair or radiant skin, my answer is always the same: function and flow.

Your body must function properly first—digestion, circulation, hormonal balance, detoxification. When these systems are working as they should, then the body can flow. Energy moves freely. Nutrients reach where they need to go. Stress is processed and released instead of stored.

This is where movement, mindset, and medicine come together.

Movement supports circulation and keeps energy flowing.
Mindset regulates stress and protects your nervous system.
Medicine—whether herbal support, proper nutrition, or rest—gives your body what it needs to function optimally.

In Eastern medicine, we understand that beauty is never separate from internal balance. When the body is in harmony, vitality reflects outward naturally—through the skin, the hair, the eyes, the energy you carry.

Longevity and beauty are built from the inside out. It begins with paying attention to how your body functions, and then supporting it so it can flow.

This is not about chasing trends. This is about honoring the body’s intelligence and giving it what it truly needs.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, this conversation feels especially timely.

There is a moment when you realize wellness isn’t just personal, it’s something you’re meant to share.

In this episode of The Experts, I sit down with to talk about that realization. How her own journey through motherhood, mental health, and self-awareness led her to create —a platform designed to meet people where they are, emotionally and mentally.

This isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about building something that holds space for the gray zone—the place where most of us live, day to day. Not in crisis, but not fully thriving either.

Nina talks about why emotional fitness matters, how we normalize the unseen struggles, and what it takes to build something that genuinely supports others through their own becoming.

A powerful conversation on purpose, mental wellness, and the courage to create something bigger than yourself.

The Experts ft is out now!

Food is one of the most direct ways we care for the body, support longevity, and nourish beauty from within.

In Korean medicine, we look at food not only for nutrients, but for how it supports balance. Warming foods, cooling foods, and protein each play a role in helping the body stay regulated, energized, and supported from the inside out.

True beauty is not only about what we apply externally. It begins with how we nourish the body, support the nervous system, and create harmony internally.

A balanced meal is not about restriction. It is about understanding what your body needs and making simple, intentional choices that support vitality, resilience, and well-being.

This is how we bring awareness into something we do every day.

Healing begins at the cellular level.

In Taoist medicine, we understand that when the body is supported at its foundation, everything else begins to align.

Red light therapy is one way to gently support that process, helping the body restore, repair, and return to balance.

At SABU Wellness, we integrate practices and technologies that work with the body, not against it. Whether it is for skin health, reducing inflammation, supporting energy, or recovery, the intention is always the same: to create space for the body to do what it is designed to do.

This is part of the SABU Wellness Experience.
