SAY Journal

SAY Journal SAY (Something About You) is a guided journal that helps parents and children connect through meaningful conversations. SAY isn’t just a journal. A ritual.

It’s more than a journal—it’s a shared ritual for emotional growth, trust, and lifelong connection. Hi, I’m Khushnu Hoodbhoy — a mom, and someone who’s always believed in the quiet power of emotional connection. I was born in Mumbai and now live with my best friend / husband and raise our two children in our favorite city in the world : Los Angeles, where the journey of motherhood and healing has

taught me one thing above all: when a child feels emotionally safe with their parent, everything else in life gets a little easier. That’s why I created SAY (Something About You) — to give parents and children a space to truly see and hear each other from a young age. It’s a starting point. A seed that grows into lifelong trust, communication, and love. But this is just Mission One. Our vision for SAY is much bigger — to evolve into a movement with many ways to practice emotional connection as a family. Journals, workshops, digital spaces, and more… all designed to help families build bonds that run deep and last a lifetime. If we can change how children feel with the people who love them most, we can change the world.

Midweek Check-In : What’s Happening at SAY

It’s been a powerful season of building, listening, and learning.
And with 2026 on the horizon, we’re more energized than ever to keep growing the SAY movement.

So here’s a quick pulse check on where we are — and what’s next

What We’re Building:
SAY is here to make emotional intelligence a daily ritual — not just for kids, but for the parents, teachers, and schools that shape them.
Our next chapter? The SAY Way — modular tools that make emotional connection simple, meaningful, and part of everyday life for children.

Quick Facts About SAY:
✔️ SAY = Something About You — because every time a child shares, a bridge is built
✔️ Our color palette is rooted in feelings: safety, softness, calm, confidence
✔️ We’re not just launching a product — we’re creating a culture

Quick Founder Glimpse — Khushnu:
Born and raised in Mumbai. Now raising two children in Los Angeles — the city she calls home and where SAY first came to life.
She built SAY from a place of deep personal belief: if we teach children emotional connection early, it becomes who they are — not something they have to learn later.

What’s Next:
2026 = The Year of Emotional Wellness.
We’re building tools, modules, and conversations that make this real — starting with our own families and expanding to classrooms everywhere.

If you’re a parent, educator, or just someone who cares about connection — we’d love to hear from you.
Let’s raise better humans, together.

WHAT DOES SAY MEAN ?

SAY stands for Something About You.
Because every time you share something about yourself,
you make space for someone else to do the same.
When a child says, “This is how I feel,”
a parent learns, “This is how I can love better.”
SAY is about that exchange.
That mutual unfolding.
That moment of connection that bridges the space between generations.
It’s not just a concept—it’s a call to action:
To listen deeper.
To respond with intention.
To build emotional intelligence, one honest word at a time.
Our goal is to make this kind of connection accessible to all—
At home, in schools, in everyday life.
Because emotional intelligence isn’t something we’re born knowing.
It’s something we learn, together.
And SAY is just the beginning.

“Kids Don’t Always Say It. But They Always Show It.”

Connection often sounds like play
You just have to listen differently
