After four hospital births, one mom came to Casa Natal for her fifth baby, and one of the things that stood out to her was how much her older children got to be part of the experience.

They came along to prenatal appointments, listened to their new sibling’s heartbeat, and had the chance to ask the midwives their own questions along the way.

There was a new baby coming into their family, and they got to be part of getting ready to welcome them.

She later told us her experience surpassed her expectations, and we’re grateful we got to care for her family through it.

If you’re looking for prenatal care where your family can feel included, we’d love to talk with you. You can call or text us at 408-337-2830.

There’s a lot to think about before bringing baby home, but a little prep now = way less stress later.

Car seat? Practice now (Trust us, sleepy you will thank you!) Safe sleep and feeding? A little reading goes a long way. Postpartum support? Chat with your partner about meals, visitors, and who’s on your emergency contact list. (Sticky notes totally count.)

Tiny steps now make those first days at home smoother. You’ve got this! And if questions come up while you’re getting ready, we’re here for those too. Give us a call or text at 408-337-2830.

Did you know that you, as the expecting mom, have the right to ask questions and the right to say no?

Inductions. C-sections. Routine testing.

These decisions should never feel automatic or forced.

Informed consent means understanding your options, the risks and benefits, and being part of the decision-making process every step of the way.

At Casa Natal, we believe birth care should be collaborative, evidence-based, and centered around you.

That includes discussing alternatives, honoring your preferences, and making sure your voice is respected throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth.

You deserve care that informs you, not pressures you. Schedule your visit today and experience the difference.

Serving families across Morgan Hill, Los Gatos, San Jose, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Fremont, Gilroy, Hollister, and the Greater Silicon Valley area.

An hour gives you time for the conversations that often don't fit into a rushed appointment.

It gives you the chance to ask the question that's been on your mind all week. To talk about your nutrition, your physical health, and your emotional well-being.

Plus share what's been going well, what's been challenging, and what you're feeling as your pregnancy unfolds.

At Casa Natal, the physical exam is an important part of your prenatal visit, and so is the conversation.

If you're looking for prenatal care that gives you the space to ask questions, understand your options, and build a relationship with your care team, we'd love to talk with you.

You can call or text us anytime at 408-337-2830.

There isn't a deadline for asking yourself whether your care still feels like the right fit.

Some families realize early on that they've found exactly what they're looking for. Others discover a few months into pregnancy that they need something different, whether that's more time to ask questions, a different approach to care, or simply feeling more connected to the people supporting them.

If you've been wondering whether you still have options, we'd love to answer your questions, show you around, and help you decide what feels right for your family.

You can call or text us anytime at 408-337-2830.

Postpartum exhaustion is common, but that does not mean every woman should be told to push through it ❤️

Pregnancy, birth, blood loss, breastfeeding, fragmented sleep, and recovery ask a lot of the body.

For some women, ongoing fatigue may also have another layer, including low iron, thyroid changes, nutrient depletion, blood sugar instability, or a nervous system that has been running on high alert for too long.

That can affect more than energy. It can shape mood, focus, sleep, healing, and how you feel in your own body.

At Casa Natal and Wildflower Women’s Wellness, we look at the whole picture and ask what may be making recovery harder.

Your body is not inconveniencing you by speaking up. It is giving you information.

When they welcomed their first baby in the hospital, the experience left them both so stressed and on edge that, the moment their son was born and he knew they were safe, her husband ran out of the room to throw up.

Their second baby was born at Casa Natal. Surrounded by the midwives they had come to know throughout the pregnancy. This time, after their baby was born, her husband didn't run out of the room. He hugged her, and he teared up.

Every birth is different, and every family's experience is their own. Reading their story is a reminder that birth isn't only remembered by the person giving birth. Partners carry the experience with them too, and feeling supported, cared for, and surrounded by people you know can shape those memories for years to come.

Thank you for trusting us with your story.

If you've been wondering what birth center care looks like or whether it might be the right fit for your family, we'd love to answer your questions. You can reach us at 408-337-2830.

Pregnancy brings a lot of changes, and many of them are exactly what we'd expect.

Feeling tired, dealing with constipation, noticing brain fog, or simply feeling different can all be part of growing a baby. Sometimes, though, those same symptoms are an opportunity to better understand what's happening in your body.

One of the things we appreciate most about functional midwifery is having the time to look at the whole picture. That might mean talking about nutrition, reviewing your health history, or taking a closer look at things like iron, thyroid health, or nutrient levels when it makes sense for you.

Not every symptom points to a problem, and not every pregnancy needs additional testing. Our goal is to help you understand your body and make informed decisions about your care, together.

You've got this.
