"We especially emphasize due to our smaller size, our residents receive more personalized care." "McMullen Assisted Care is all inclusive. Meals, laundry, housekeeping, personal care, assistance with medication, and TV service are all included." The staff of 14 has enabled the facility to be ranked 21st out of 635 assisted living facilities and first in Ashland County in the state 2015 Resident/Family Satisfaction Survey and consistently receive excellent reviews by Ohio Department of Health. Residents enjoy outings to places such as the Bible walk, Carousel Works, Ashland Fairgrounds to see the Clydesdales, Mohican Treehouses, and bi-weekly lunch bunch. Chaplain visits, Communion, crafts, games, and Mystery Guests are also on the activity calendar. The location next to the high school enables students to visit and entertain. McMullen Assisted Care also provides Daily Senior Care. For less than home care, a guest can visit from 7 am to 7 pm and receive 3 home cooked meals, activities, socialization with new friends, assistance with self- medication and a caring staff. When the residents were asked by Mona what they liked best about McMullen Assisted Care, they replied "everyone's friendly", "the care is excellent", 'it's very clean and quiet", and "the food is great!" One resident summed it all up by saying "It's just like being at home with one big family."

My two sisters joined us for a sing-a-long of oldies but goodies! 🎼♥️ Over 50 years of going to Legion Minstrel shows, watching Lawrence Welk, and singing around the piano helped with our music repertoire. It’s sad they’ll be lost in the next generation.
