Today, on World Mental Health Day, we recognize the power of lived experience. 💚 🌎

This year’s theme, “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” reminds us that the voices of those who have walked through mental health challenges matter. Their experiences can help break stigma, strengthen care, and shape a better path forward for others.

At ARC, we believe every story matters, every voice deserves to be heard, and no one should have to walk their journey alone. 🫶

Together, we can listen. We can learn. And we can create real change. 🤝

“I thought I’d never…but recovery made it possible!" 💙

Recovery doesn’t erase what came before. It gives you the chance to experience what you once thought was out of reach. The life you never thought you’d have becomes the life you’re living. 💙

💚 October is National Depression Education and Awareness Month. Sometimes addiction is rooted in deeper pain, trauma, or depression. You don’t have to face it alone. There is help, there is hope, and recovery is possible.

Congratulations to Nicholas Taulbee on celebrating four years in recovery! 🙌

"When I was in treatment, If I could have made a list of the things I would like to have/achieve at four years clean I would have sold myself short of the blessings God has given me today!"

Nicholas serves as a Peer Support Specialist where he continues to pour into our clients each and every day! 🥳

🎉 Recovery is about learning how to live again — how to work, show up, take responsibility, find purpose and build a life outside of treatment.

Crown Recovery Center clients Dallas Maynard, Derek Moorefield, and Brandon Cross are doing just that. 👏

These three men are currently in outpatient level of care while working full-time jobs in the community. Dallas works at McDonald’s, while Derek and Brandon work at TG Kentucky, part of the global Toyoda Gosei Group!

This is what we want recovery to lead to. Not a life centered around treatment, but a life where treatment becomes part of the foundation for what comes next. 💙

Every step matters! 💪 Way to go, ladies!

Yesterday was a beautiful milestone at Bellefonte Recovery Maternity Center as several of our ladies completed Step 1 with staff member Allison! 💜

Watching these ladies take courageous steps toward honesty, healing, and a new way of life is truly inspiring. We are so proud of each of you and all the hard work you’re putting into your recovery! 🌱✨

"You can't just walk away from a call." 💙

For Randy Hunter, becoming CEO of ARC was about recognizing a mission he believed in, and believing there was still meaningful work ahead. 🙌

During Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re reminded that taking care of our mental health is an important part of recovery. For individuals struggling with substance use, addressing underlying mental health challenges can be a critical step toward lasting wellness.

At Addiction Recovery Care, we believe recovery is about more than overcoming addiction — it’s about supporting the whole person and helping individuals build healthier, more hopeful lives.

Meet Megan West, one of our Community Liaisons. 💙

Megan knows the road to recovery isn’t easy. She’s walked it herself. For Megan, this work is personal. She’s a wife and a mom to two little ones who remind her every day why the life she has today matters so much. 🙌

Today, she’s giving back what was once given to her, showing up for people in some of their hardest moments and reminding them they don’t have to figure everything out on their own. 🫶

If you or someone you love in Eastern Kentucky is ready for support, Megan is here to help.
