A few days after I had Ellie, while I was still in the hospital, I got an email from a previous doula client. She was pregnant with baby #3 and was interested in having me as her doula again! I had literally just given birth and had no idea what life would look like when she was due and how it would work, but Jeff encouraged me to say yes.

Friday morning she gave birth to a surprise baby boy with me as her doula. She arrived at the hospital at 5am, I arrived at 6am and her baby was born at 7:30am. So fast! She was so strong and steady. It was such a privilege to be by her side supporting her for 2 births. And what a neat experience for me since I had just given birth myself.

Special thanks to my husband who made sure it worked out for me to be there and to Ashley White for watching my sweet girl on such short notice. 💗

This picture was taken that afternoon. Ellie and I were both exhausted. Even though her schedule got out of wack she was flexible for her momma. 🥰

You just found out you are pregnant!! Congratulations!

Now what?! How do you start preparing for this big life change? So many questions, So many emotions. And you are not sure where to start. That is where I come in to help! (Maybe you are thinking, but, Cassie, I am not sure if we want a doula at our birth.) Hear me out! :)

WHAT IF.... you could have the extra support of a doula during pregnancy without necessarily hiring her for your birth.

Maybe you just want resources or someone to ask questions to or someone that can explain the process of birth and what to expect. Maybe you just want to know your options and how to advocate for yourself. Maybe you would love to have someone on your team who knows when to refer you to a lactation consultant for breastfeeding or a counselor for mental health support. Someone that can help your husband know how to help you best during labor and beyond. Someone that helps you create a birth plan, a postpartum plan and can give breastfeeding tips. Someone who can explain a doula's role and whether that would be a good fit for you.

There are so many resources out there that it can be overwhelming! I would LOVE to be that support person for you! If you are interested, please reach out to me and we can chat about how this service could benefit you!
