This weekend left me feeling energized and deeply grateful.
-
Thank you to everyone who attended Postural Restoration Institute Pelvis Restoration for bringing your curiosity, thoughtful questions, and passion for helping your patients. One of the greatest joys of teaching is witnessing those “aha” moments as participants begin to appreciate the relationship between the rib cage, pelvis, and respiration—and seeing that understanding translate into new ways of thinking about patient care.
-
On a personal note, this course marked a meaningful milestone in my own PRI journey. Having the opportunity to teach at Untapped, nearly seven years after opening our doors, made the weekend especially memorable.
-
There were so many moments that made it special: teaching alongside Jen Poulin, whose mentorship has influenced me since the beginning of my PRI education; having my husband there, whom I met at my second PRI course years ago; and sharing the experience with friends and colleagues who continue to challenge and inspire me.
-
PRI has profoundly shaped the way I evaluate, treat, and understand the human body. It is a privilege to contribute to a community that is committed to continual learning and to helping clinicians better serve their patients.
-
Thank you to everyone who made this weekend such a meaningful experience.

This weekend is one of my favorite kinds of weekends.
We’re honored to welcome clinicians from multiple states into our home at Untapped as we host Postural Restoration Institute Pelvis Restoration. There is something incredibly special about opening the doors to the clinic we’ve worked so hard to build and filling it with people who are passionate about learning, asking questions, and growing together.
-
The science and philosophy of the Postural Restoration Institute® have profoundly changed the way I evaluate, think, and care for patients. It has been one of the most meaningful influences on my career, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to share these concepts with others who are committed to continually improving their practice.
-
I truly believe that when clinicians invest in learning, patients benefit. Every new perspective, every thoughtful discussion, and every clinical breakthrough has the potential to make a difference in someone’s life.
-
To everyone joining us this weekend—thank you for making the trip. We’re excited to learn alongside you, build new friendships, and share what makes this profession so rewarding.
-
Welcome to Untapped. We’re so glad you’re here.

Sometimes the greatest reminders of why we do what we do come from our patients.
-
Today, I received a message of gratitude that truly blessed me. While hearing that someone is feeling better is always rewarding, what stood out most was the recognition of the teamwork that helped make it happen.
-
This patient specifically expressed appreciation for the combined efforts of two treating therapists, and it was a wonderful reminder that healing is often a team effort.
-
To our patients—thank you for trusting us, for sharing your journeys with us, and for taking the time to let us know when something has made a difference. Your words encourage us more than you know and remind us that every conversation, every collaboration, and every step forward matters.
-
We’re grateful to be part of your journey. ❤️

It’s moments like this that I wish I had a microphone in the room…
-
Today, I was instructing a patient through a PRI technique—specifically the 90–90 resisted right glute max with a weighted right serratus anterior.
-
She stood up after performing it and just said, “Whew.”
Then she paused…
“My shoulders feel different.”
She looked at me and asked, “Can you tell they’re in a different position? Because I can feel that they are different than when I came in.”
She walked over to the mirror, took a look, and said:
“Wow… I don’t look as old.” 😎
She went on to point out that she was standing taller, more aligned—her rib cage stacked better over her pelvis, and her head not as far forward. 👏
-
This is exactly what we do with PRI. 💪
-
We’re not just giving exercises—we’re helping people experience real, immediate changes in how they feel in their body… and even how they see themselves.
-
And I can guarantee you this—she left today with a whole new level of motivation. Not just because she feels better, but because she can see the difference too.
-
That kind of awareness is powerful. 🔥

I recently received a text message from a patient who shared part of a conversation between her and her daughter. I have to say, I absolutely love receiving messages like this. ❤️🙏🏼Hearing about the wins along someone’s journey toward better health and mobility is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
-
What made this one extra meaningful is that it gave me a small snapshot into how she truly feels about her progress and what she’s sharing with the people closest to her. 💕
-
In the text, she referred to the work we do together as the “easy button.” I had to smile when I read that. While I can’t always say the process itself is easy—because does require an active and engaged approach—it can certainly feel easier when the effort is directed in the right place.
-
When we focus on addressing the cause of an issue rather than just chasing symptoms, the path forward tends to be much more efficient and effective.💪
-
Thank you to this patient for sharing a piece of her journey and celebrating a win along the way. 🙌
-
And to all of our patients—please continue to reach out not only with your struggles, but also with your wins. Those moments deserve to be shared and celebrated. 🎉

Tip #4 for Performing Your Techniques:
Perform your techniques when it works for you and your day.
-
Just like any habit or lifestyle routine, success often comes from reducing the resistance to doing the thing. If you can fit your techniques into a time that naturally works in your daily rhythm, you’re much more likely to stay consistent.
-
There may be specific timing recommendations based on your symptoms, your life, and your goals, so be sure to listen to your practitioner’s guidance when that applies.
-
But ultimately, most of us would agree:getting them done RIGHT at some point in your day, is far better than not doing them, or rushing through them.

Tip #3 for Performing Your (PRI) Techniques: Go Slow and Focus on Your Breathing
-
Breathing is a key part of every PRI technique. How you breathe is just as important as how you set up the exercise.
-
As you perform your technique, slow down and pay attention to your breath:• Your exhale should be about twice as long as your inhale• Your inhale should be quiet and gentle
-
Notice where you feel the breath move in your body. The way you breathe helps influence where the air goes and which areas of your body can expand.
-
For many of us, slowing down takes conscious effort, and that’s completely okay. The goal isn’t to rush through the exercise—it’s to help your body sense, adapt, and learn a new pattern.
Take your time, stay curious about what you feel, and let your breathing guide the process.
-
Stay tuned for the last tip in the series!
