One of the most underrated things you can do for chronic pain this summer? Drink more water. 💧

It sounds almost too simple, but dehydration has a very real impact on how pain feels. When you're not hydrated enough:

🧠 Headaches and migraines become more likely
💪 Muscles are more prone to cramping and tension
🦴 Joints lose some of their natural cushioning
😓 Fatigue and brain fog (already common with chronic pain) get worse

Summer heat speeds up dehydration faster than most people realize, especially if you're spending time outdoors or staying more active than usual.

If you're managing chronic pain, think of hydration as part of your treatment plan, not just a nice-to-have. Aim for at least 8 glasses a day, more if you're in the heat.

Small habits. Real difference. 💙

Summer has a way of turning up the volume on migraines. 🌞

If your head seems to hurt more when the weather heats up, you're not imagining it.

Bright sunlight, dehydration, heat and humidity, and changes in routine can all be powerful triggers, and summer has no shortage of them.

Migraines aren’t like typical headaches; they’re a neurological condition that is debilitating, unpredictable, and far too often dismissed.

You don't have to keep suffering through them. Real treatment options exist, and our team is here to help you find a plan that actually works.

Let's talk about something that doesn't get discussed enough: chronic pain in men.

Men are often conditioned to push through pain, dismiss it, or wait until it becomes unbearable before saying anything. But chronic pain, whether it's back pain, nerve pain, joint pain, or headaches, doesn't get better by being ignored. It usually gets harder to treat the longer it goes unaddressed.

June is Men's Health Month, and we're using this moment to make it clear: seeking help for pain is not weakness. It's actually one of the most proactive things you can do for your long-term health, your work, and the people you care about.

If you or a man in your life has been living with persistent pain and brushing it off, this is your sign to take it seriously.

We're here, and we're listening. 💙

Warmer weather has a way of making everyone want to get outside. And if you've been managing chronic pain through a tough winter, the pull toward movement and fresh air can feel especially strong.

Getting active outdoors CAN be part of a healthy pain management routine, the key is listening to your body and moving in a way that works for where you are right now (not where you were two years ago, and not where you want to be next month).

If you're easing back into outdoor activity this spring:

☀️ Start shorter than you think you need to; you can always build up
☀️ Walk on flat surfaces before tackling hills or uneven ground
☀️ Wear supportive footwear
☀️ Don't let a good day trick you into overdoing it
☀️ Remember, rest after activity is not giving up, it's part of the process

Good days are meant to be enjoyed. 💙 If you have questions about what movement is right for your specific situation, that's exactly what we're here for.

“I've been to pain management at a couple of other offices before coming here, and this place has definitely been the best.

Dr. Lamborn is amazing. He makes you aware of everything he is about to do during the procedures. But also having a General conversation to distract you from the pain of the injections. His assistant is also very polite and caring. I definitely won't be going to any other office.” - J.J.

If your pain feels worse during allergy season, there's a real reason for that (and it's not just coincidence).

When your immune system reacts to pollen and other allergens, it releases inflammatory chemicals throughout your body. If you're already managing a condition that involves inflammation, like arthritis, fibromyalgia, or nerve pain, that extra layer can genuinely amplify what you're already feeling.

This is one of those things that often gets dismissed ("it's just allergies"), but it's worth paying attention to.

A few things that can help:

🌸 Track when your pain spikes — is it tied to high pollen days?
🌸 Talk to your doctor about whether managing your allergies could help your pain
🌸 Stay hydrated and prioritize rest on high-symptom days
🌸 Don't push through a bad day just because it's a "nice day outside"

Your body is doing a lot right now. Give it some grace, and if you're noticing a pattern, bring it up at your next appointment. We want to know.

Spring can still be wonderful. We just want to help you actually enjoy it. 🌼
