Last week, we had the honor of celebrating the retirement of Dwynell after an incredible 31½ years of dedicated service at The Brook.

Throughout his career, Dwynell spent the majority of his time in our Plant Operations department, but he was always willing to step in wherever he was needed. His commitment, reliability, and positive attitude made a lasting impact on our team and our facility.

More than an exceptional employee, Dwynell became a trusted friend and valued colleague to so many who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Thank you, Dwynell, for your years of hard work, dedication, and friendship. We wish you a retirement filled with happiness, good health, and many years of well-deserved rest, relaxation, and new adventures. Congratulations—you’ve certainly earned it! 🎉

Recovery is a journey, and we are here to help every step of the way. 🌱

Our Transitional Living House is designed to help men in recovery build the structure, skills, and confidence they need for lasting success. We were proud to take part in the Black Men’s Mental Health Conference, The Comeback Journey: Re-entry, Refocus, Reset, on July 11 in Louisville.

This event brought together community members, organizations and resources focused on supporting mental health, personal growth and recovery for young adults. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with mental health counselors, explore vocational training and job opportunities, learn about addiction recovery resources and more.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with our team. We are grateful to be part of conversations that help increase awareness, reduce stigma and support mental wellness in our community.

Before our patients leave, we work with each of them to develop a personalized plan and schedule to support their continued recovery in the community. From follow-up care to daily structure, we help set every individual up for lasting success.

Because the work we do together does not end at discharge, it is just the beginning. Check out this short video to hear more from Al, our Director of Transitional Living.
