Our residents enjoyed a wonderful evening out at Noche, where great food, laughter, and fellowship made for a memorable experience! 🌮❤️

Located at 1838 Bardstown Road in Louisville’s Highlands neighborhood, Noche is housed in the beautifully restored former Calvary Lutheran Church, originally built in the 1920s. After the church became partially vacant in 2015, the building was thoughtfully transformed while preserving many of its historic features, including the giant handcrafted stained-glass windows from the 1970s, the original wooden rafters, and the beautiful organ loft overlook.

Our residents loved not only the delicious food but also the opportunity to dine in such a unique and historic setting. At Vitality Living Stony Brook, we’re always looking for meaningful experiences that connect our residents with the rich history and vibrant culture of our community.

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone as we honor Tina on her retirement after 26 years of dedicated service.

For more than two decades, Tina has done so much more than prepare and serve meals. She has shared smiles, offered kindness, listened to stories, celebrated birthdays, comforted residents, and made our dining room feel like home. Her compassion, hard work, and genuine love for those she served have touched countless lives.

Twenty-six years is an amazing legacy, and the friendships, memories, and difference you’ve made will never be forgotten. While we will miss seeing your smiling face each day, we are so grateful for the years you devoted to our residents, families, and team.

Congratulations, Tina, on your well-earned retirement! May this next chapter be filled with good health, new adventures, precious time with family and friends, and all the happiness you deserve.

No passports. No jet lag. Just leis, laughter, and a whole lot of aloha! 🌺🏝️ Our Luau brought the islands to Stony Brook, and The Honeymooners provided the perfect soundtrack for an afternoon of dancing, singing, and making wonderful memories. We may have left the beach behind, but the island spirit stayed with us all day long! 🍍🎶🌞

🎶 Happy 93rd Anniversary to the Singing Telegram! 🎶

Today marks the 93rd anniversary of the singing telegram, and what better way to celebrate than by sharing a glimpse of one of our favorite surprises!

Tilly recently stopped by Vitality Living Stony Brook, and while every visit includes music, laughter, and smiles, we’ve learned there really is no such thing as a “typical” singing telegram. One resident may laugh until they cry, another may sing every word, and another may simply smile quietly while holding Tilly’s hand. Every interaction is as unique as the person receiving it.

That’s the magic of engagement—it isn’t about following a script. It’s about meeting people where they are, creating moments of joy, and making meaningful connections.

Whether it’s a birthday, a special celebration, or “just because,” Tilly reminds us that a little music, humor, and heart can brighten someone’s entire day.

Who says channel locks are just for the workshop? 🔧💅 Today they became the most important spa tool in the building! Thanks to our amazing resident, Ted, the ladies’ nail polish was opened and spa day was saved. ❤️

🌸 Happy Gorgeous Grandma Day! 🌸

We are blessed to have a community filled with gorgeous grandmas—inside and out! These three lovely ladies celebrated the day by enjoying a delightful high tea in Lexington this afternoon. Beautiful smiles, wonderful friendship, and sweet memories made together! 💕🫖

🎶 Family Night Was One to Remember! 🇺🇸

What a wonderful evening we shared at Vitality Living Stony Brook as residents, families, and friends gathered for our monthly Family Night featuring the talented Ladies for Liberty!

Their patriotic harmonies, vintage style, and energetic performance had everyone singing along, clapping, and reminiscing about treasured memories. Seeing multiple generations enjoying music together is exactly what Family Night is all about.

A heartfelt thank you to the Ladies for Liberty for helping us create another evening filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful connections.

As the weather becomes a little more comfortable, we’ll be moving our Family Night concerts back outdoors, making these evenings even more enjoyable!

From the rickhouse to the footlights…
We started the evening with a delicious dinner at the historic Rickhouse Restaurant, then traveled just a few blocks (and about 170 years back in time!) to enjoy The Stephen Foster Story under the Kentucky stars and lightening bugs. Great food, great friends, and a wonderful celebration of Bardstown’s history and music. Nights like these are what memories are made of! (Make sure to check the first comment.)
