What kind of society do we live in when our government of elected officials CUT ALL FUNDING to the ONLY Facility for severaly disabled adults in the STATE?
A society's reflection is seen in how they treat the MOST vuneralbe. Many of these adults are more disabled than my baby bro and have no where else to go.
Lee’s specialty clinic, is where Jason and thousdands of others disabled folk go for ALL of the mental health and dental, and general medical treatments.
Jason has been going there for years for his dentist, his phyuscial therapy, his Psyciahatric meds, speech therapy and they are WONDERFUL humans who are trained in how to deal with these special needs and love their patients.
Its not as simple as finding another Dr, many facilities are not trained how to deal with speical needs folk - its a totally different thing.
In just a few days, it will all be taken away... He had to wait for years to even get in, most everyone does.
Today in Frankfort they are holding a Rally in effort to reverse the Governor and legislators decsion in a LAST DITCH HOPE to save this special place for the true innocents of this world
These experts cannot be replaced ONCE LOST!
Its extremly diffucult for disabled folk to feel at home and comfortable in meidcal settings, they have formed bonds with these medical professaionals... and once you take them away, that bond is broken.
BOTH sides are doing this, so this is not about a LEFT VS RIGHT thing - its about being a HUMAN BEING.
LET OUR VOICE BE HEARD!

Power to the People - if we actually stand together instead of allowing them to Just blame each other, we have a voice.
Disabled folk cannot advocate for themselves, so we must STAND FOR THEM.
