We had the sweetest "Adoption Day" with our residents last Thursday.
Thanks to a state funded program, our community received 21 lifelike cats and dogs,- and we turned it into a special adoption event just for them. Each resident had the opportunity to choose their very own pet and was presented with a certificate of ownership with their choose of name to make it official.
We kicked off the celebration with White castle for lunch, then the real magic began.
Watching our residents' faces light up as they met their new companions was absolutely priceless. These adorable animals bark, meow, move and even whine just like real pets. bringing so much joy and comfort.
It was a day full of smiles, laughter, and new furry friendships we won't soon forget.

Our residents tapped into their culinary side last Wednesday and made a pineapple upside down cake in the crock-pot.
The sweet aroma filled the ha;;s as it slowly cooked, building up the excitement for that first bite. it turned out perfectly moist, delicious, and full of classic pineapple flavor everyone loves.

Last tuesday, our residents tapped into their creativity by painting their very own treasure and jewerly boxes.
Each box turned into a unique masterpiece, reflecting individual styles, favortie colors, and special touches. From bright and bold designs to soft and elegant looks, it was amazing to see everyone's personality shine through.
Not only was it a fun and relaxing activity, but now our residents have a special place to keep their favorite little treasures.

Last Monday, our residents had such a fun time "fishing" with Linda from physical therapy.
Using card board sticks as fishing poles with plastic hooks and small noodles as the "fish", everyone got in on the action. There were lots of laughs, friendly competition, and plenty of smiles all around.
We love our Monday morning with the physical therapy team.

While our homemade chicken and dumplings were simmering away, we kept the fun going with some friendly games of co****le with Linda from PT.
There was lots of laughter, a little friendly competition, and plenty of cheering each other on. It was the perfect way to pass the time while those delicious aromas filled the air from our kitchen.

There's nothing better than a home-cooked meal made with love!!
Today, our residents rolled up their sleeves and rolled out some home made dumplings together. It all started with a recipe they fell in love with, after our life enrichment director brought her home made chicken and dumplings in one day, everyone was hooked. so today, she shared her recipe and guided the group step by step.
From mixing and rolling to lots of laughter along the way. The kitchen was filled with wonderful aromas and even better memories- and way more flour all over everyone!! There's something so special about sharing recipes, stories, and traditions like this.
And the best part? Sitting down together to enjoy a meal they made themselves.

Tuesday was full of creativity and smiles as our residents made the cutest little gnomes using paint brushes.
With a little imagination and a lot of personality, each gnome turned out completely unique- just like the amazing individuals who created them. From bright colors to fun designs, it was so much fun watching everyone bring their ideas to life.

Todays activity brought back sweet memories of the fair as our residents created their own layered sand vases!
Each vase was uniquely designed with colorful layers, showing off everyones creativity and personality. It was fun to see the different patterns and color combinations come to life- no two were alike.

Creative cooking Wednesday Magic
Our residents whipped up something sweet and delicious for creative cooking Wednesday- cherry pie taquitos!! using cherry pie filling, soft tortilla shells and a dusting of powdered sugar, these treats were as fun to make as they were to eat.
The best part? the halls were filled with the warm, sweet smell of baked cherries and happiness- it truly smelled like magic.
There's nothingh better than good company, tasty creations, and a little creativity in the kitchen. Another wonderful wednesday in the books!

🌻💮 Adding color & memories to our Campus!! 🌻💮

Tuesday was a beautiful day filled with sunshine, teamwork, and a little bit of dirt under our nails! Our residents spent time helping pull weeds and plant fresh, colorful flowers around our campus patio, bringing new life and vibrance to our outdoor spaces.
As they worked, many shared sweet memories of tending to their own gardens at home- stories of favorite flowers, early morning watering routines, and the joy that comes from watching something grow. 💕
Moments like these remind us that gardening is more than just planting flowers- its planting memories, purpose, and pride. We are so grateful for the hands and hearts that helped make our campus bloom.
