Happy 4th of July from Christian Care Communities!

🩷 100 Looks Good On You! 🩷

Friends, family, and coworkers joined to celebrate the 100th Birthday of Doreen Dowell!

Doreen was humbled and in awe, saying “I normally have a lot to say but right now I am speechless!”

Residents shared memories over the years that meant so much to them and spoke of unexpected connections from Doreen’s 40 year career as a Birth and Delivery Nurse.

Grandkids and great grandkids helped pass out punch, chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and ice cream!

Mayor Graig Greenburg gifted a special proclamation stating “June 30th, 2026 is herby proclaimed in Louisville, Kentucky to be Doreen Dowell Day!” and urged all residents to observe this special recognition!

The Christian Care Team gifted Doreen a fuzzy “You Have Been Loved 100 Years” blanket. Doreen’s family made a “GG Pillow” to hug when they are not together and brought an oversized card for all residents to sign!

Today, June 30th, was an incredible day! 💛 Happy 100th Birthday Doreen Dowell!

Friends, family, and coworkers joined to celebrate the 100th Birthday of Doreen Dowell!
