Louisville East Post Acute has once again been recognized for its exceptional commitment to wound care, earning the prestigious 2026 Vohra Center of Excellence Award for the third consecutive year.
The Vohra Center of Excellence for Wound Management Award recognizes skilled nursing and post-acute care facilities that have developed superior wound management programs and consistently deliver outstanding patient outcomes. The national certification honors organizations that demonstrably improve the quality of life for patients with wounds through clinical excellence, compassionate care, and a commitment to continuous education.
Louisville East Post Acute is among an elite group of providers receiving this distinction. Approximately 10 percent of the nearly 3,000 facilities that partner with Vohra earn the Center of Excellence designation each year.
To qualify for the Center of Excellence Award, facilities must meet rigorous clinical standards, including maintaining a wound-related hospitalization rate of less than one percent, conducting regular interdisciplinary team meetings focused on quality improvement and best practices, and employing a designated wound care certified nurse.
Earning the award for three consecutive years highlights Louisville East Post Acute's ongoing commitment to excellence in wound management and patient-centered care. The recognition reflects the organization's dedication to advancing clinical practices, investing in staff education, and creating an environment where patients receive specialized treatment that promotes healing and enhances their quality of life.
