Today, we pause to honor the lives lost on 9/11 and the families, friends, and communities who continue to carry their memories.

25 years ago, our world changed forever. September 11, 2001, reminds us of the courage of first responders, the strength of ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances, and the importance of standing together with compassion and kindness.

At Brooks Family Medical, we honor the heroes who ran toward danger, the lives forever changed, and the spirit of unity that brought people together during one of our nation’s darkest days.

May we never forget the lives lost, the sacrifices made, and the reminder that love, kindness, and helping one another matter more than ever.

🦇 INTERESTING FACT OF THE DAY! 🦇

Did you know that TODAY, September 9, marks a pretty incredible piece of Kentucky history? 💙

On September 9, 1972, six brave cave explorers spent about 12 hours underground before making an incredible discovery—they found the connection between the Flint Ridge Cave System and Mammoth Cave! 🪨🔦

That discovery connected the two systems and created 144.4 miles of mapped passageways, making Mammoth Cave the longest known cave system in the world at the time! 🤯

And it just keeps getting bigger! Through decades of continued exploration, Mammoth Cave has grown to more than 400 miles of mapped passages and remains the world’s longest known cave system. 🌎

Talk about having a LONG day at work! 😂
