When did you last ask your partner: 'How are WE doing?' 💑

Not 'What's for dinner.' Not 'Did you pay that bill.' But actually - how are we?

Here are 5 questions to ask your partner tonight:

💬 What's one thing I've done lately that made you feel loved?
💬 What's something you wish I knew about how you're feeling right now?
💬 Is there something you've been wanting to talk about but haven't brought up yet?
💬 What does support look like for you this week?
💬 What's one thing we could do together this week - just for us?

Growing stronger as a couple takes intention. We're here to help. 💚

To the parent in the final stretch of the school year, this one's for you. 🌿

The permission slips. The end-of-year events. The kids who are completely done before the last bell rings. The summer schedule that doesn't exist yet. The mental load that never fully clocks out.

You are doing so much. And you are tired.

Here are 5 self-care practices that are actually doable in this season:

1️⃣ Give yourself a 10-minute transition. Before you shift from 'work mode' to 'parent mode,' pause. Even just sitting in the car for 10 minutes can help.
2️⃣ Say no to one thing this week. One event, one extra commitment, one thing that isn't truly necessary.
3️⃣ Ask for help out loud. Not hinting. Not hoping someone notices. Actually asking.
4️⃣ Move your body in a way that feels good, not punishing. A walk, stretching, dancing in the kitchen. It counts.
5️⃣ Remind yourself: you are not just a parent. You are a whole person. That person deserves care too.

You can't pour from an empty cup. 💚

💾 Save this and share it with a parent who needs permission to rest.

✨ Therapist Spotlight: Meet Jeffrey Helton ✨

Jeffrey Helton is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who has been part of Creative Family Counseling since 2022, beginning as an intern. 💙

What Jeffrey loves most about CFC? Creativity. He believes healing and growth happen when people are given space to explore, reauthor, and reconnect with their stories.

🎮 Favorite game: Stardew Valley
🎃 Loves: Halloween
🐱 Cat person through and through
🍕 Favorite restaurant: Pizza Lupo
🎸 Outside the office, you’ll often find him writing songs on his guitar.

Jeffrey chose this career because he believes “so many people are trying to make sense of their lives in a fragmented world.” He became a therapist to sit alongside people as they rediscover and rewrite their stories.

What inspires him most? The resiliency he sees in people every day. ✨

We’re grateful to have Jeffrey as part of the Creative Family Counseling team!

Sometimes teens don't say 'I'm struggling.' They show it in other ways. 👇
Here are 5 signs your teen may need more support - and what actually helps:

1️⃣ Withdrawing from friends & family → Try low-pressure side-by-side time (car rides, cooking)
2️⃣ Sudden drop in grades or motivation → Curiosity over concern - ask 'What's getting in the way?'
3️⃣ Sleeping too much or too little → Sleep changes are often the first signal
4️⃣ Increased irritability or emotional outbursts → They're not bad - they're overwhelmed
5️⃣ Losing interest in things they used to love → This one matters. Don't wait.

You don't have to wait for a crisis. Early support changes everything. 💚

💾 Save this. Share it with a parent of a teen - they'll thank you.
