Respect isn’t something children owe us automatically—it’s something they learn from us.

Respect isn’t fear.
It isn’t blind obedience.
And it’s never “Because I said so.”

The way we speak to our children becomes their inner voice. The respect we give them shapes how they treat others—and themselves.

If respect only flows one way, it’s not respect.

It’s control.
