KVH has been a respected voice of consumer advocates and a catalyst in health policy decision-making since 2007. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and nonpartisan coalition, we bring together individuals, advocates, community organizations, state agencies, and policymakers to address the underlying causes of poor health by connecting Kentuckians with opportunities to make change through policy advocacy. Health officials have identified potential measles exposures at two health care facilties in Morehead, Kentucky, between August 25 and August 31, 2026.

The potential measles exposures were at UK St. Claire Regional Medical Center and UK St. Claire Urgent Care - Hampton Way. Addresses and specific dates and times of possible measles exposures are available at www.chfs.ky.gov/agencies/dph/dehp/idb/Documents%202/MeaslesExposureChart.pdf

Measles is a highly contagious respiratory virus that can cause serious health complications, especially in young children. Vaccination is the best protection against measles.

People who have been exposed to measles may already be experiencing symptoms of fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, and rash. If you are worried that you may have measles, call your health care provider first. Do not go to a doctor’s office or emergency room without calling first to help protect others from getting sick.
