Nurture Your Nature | Sacred Valley, Peru 🇵🇪

There are places in the world that ask you to slow down.

Places where the mountains humble you, the land holds you, and the wisdom of ancient traditions reminds you of what it means to live in relationship with yourself, with others, and with the Earth.

This retreat isn’t about escaping your life.
It’s about remembering how you want to live it.

Over 10 days in Peru’s Sacred Valley, we’ll move our bodies, breathe deeply, gather in ceremony, learn from medicinal plants, explore breathtaking landscapes, and immerse ourselves in the beauty of Andean culture.

Together, we’ll create space to reconnect, to nourish what has been neglected, and to return home with a deeper sense of presence, purpose, and belonging.

If your heart has been longing for something more grounded, more meaningful, and more alive…
This is your invitation.

August 1, 2016 is the day I lost my Mom. I was driving 100 miles an hour down I-25 to Denver trying to make it to the hospital.

They told me she wasn’t in a condition to be able to talk at the moment, and the nurse basically told me the only thing we could do— was hope for a miracle.

A miracle never came. It was 1:22am and the nurse asked me if I could pull over off the side of the road. I refused. I was going to make it there. Her next words, “I want to let you know your Mom is passing right now, is there anything you want to say to her?”

Speechless, I had no words, this wasn’t happening, I was so close, give me 40 more minutes, I’m on my way, everything will be fine, this is a bad dream, wake me up, make this stop.

And then— she was gone.
I arrived to her hospital room 45 minutes after she had passed. The worst day of my life.

My body remembers this day. Every year. And I’ve accepted that it always will. Today is the 10 year anniversary of her death. A number that seems surreal. How can I have lived this long without her? If she was here today, she wouldn’t even recognize the woman I’ve become.

This moment in time sparked the most unimaginable shift in my life. Growing up faster than I wanted, years of grief, and a wreckage that permeated out into my closest relationships.

Yoga saved me. Though not always pretty, it’s what brought me to myself. The self underneath the story of loss and pain. I learned how to harness her energy and wisdom within me and created the most beautiful and amazing thing I could have possibly imagined from the ashes of it all.

I thought I was going back to grad school.
Turns out— I was starting a movement.

Wanderlotus. đź’ś
Birthed from the ashes.
A reminder to all, that we can heal through the things that we thought would break us. The work is an inward journey, and a devotion to your highest Self. Beauty can exist after pain. Life is beautiful. And you are deserving of it all.

Thank you for being here.
Thank you for witnessing this journey.
And today, I cheers to my mother, Kathie. As her soul lives on in the interweaving of this beautiful creation of Wanderlotus. ✨

Just like a Lotus,
Through the mud— we rise. 🙏

To be timely is to be trauma aware.

When practicing Asteya(non-stealing) by being on time, we create a sense of safety, reliability and trust with those around us. 🙏

How are my yoga teacher out there—
Are you starting and ending class on time?
Are you showing up with enough time to get grounded into your space before class?

And students—
Are you flying in right when class starts throwing your mat down in meditation? (Big no no in my Yin classes).
Are you leaving before Savasana ends?

As a yoga teacher teacher, I see this from both sides of the scale. Students and teachers. So let’s talk about it.

How are living into this yogic philosophy around time management.
Where can you grow?

25 Hour- Trauma Aware Yin Yoga Teacher Training starts in October and TIME is a big part of YIN YOGA.

One of the quickest ways i can gauge where someone is in their teaching journey is when they tell me, "Yin and Restorative are basically the same thing."

They are not.

While both are slower, more introspective practices, they're built on entirely different foundations, have different intentions, use props differently, create different physiological responses, and ask something completely different of both the student and the teacher.
This isn't meant as criticism. In fact, it's incredibly common. Most 200-hour teacher trainings only briefly touch on Yin-if they cover it at all.

When you understand the principles instead of memorizing shapes, you stop teaching poses and start teaching with intention. You learn how fascia responds to load, why time matters, how to safely stress connective tissue, why anatomy matters more than aesthetics, and how to create an experience that is both supportive and deeply transformative.

Yin is so much more than "holding poses for a long time."

If you're ready to truly understand this practice and confidently share it with others, I'd love to have you join me.

There are experiences that ask to be celebrated immediately, and then there are those that require stillness before they can be put into words.

Our Yoga Teacher graduates crossed the finish line in June, and this post has been sitting in my heart ever since. These photos aren't just memories, they're moments that hold a story, a breakthrough, a tear, a laugh, or a moment of remembering.

I didn't set out to simply train yoga teachers. I set out to create a space where people could reclaim themselves. Where one can come face to face with their ego and ask the hard questions. Where community becomes safe again and where we hold ourselves and each other in deep reverence. Where trust is built and a deeper connection can birth. Where practice becomes devotion guided in love. And where a new era of space holders and teachers could find their voice. A voice educated with lineage and acknowledgement of the wisdom we are drawn to.

Since graduation, my inbox has continued to fill with messages about lives that feel different now. Students trusting themselves in ways they never had before. Relationships, jobs and living situations shifting. Dreams becoming clearer. Voices becoming stronger. Those messages have reminded me that this work extends far beyond a certificate.

Watching this group soften, unravel, challenge themselves, and rise has been one of the greatest honors of my life. They didn't just learn how to teach yoga. They became it. Recognizing that maybe the goal was never enlightenment, and always about embodiment. Embodying this life, this Self, this soul, this body, this Earth, this community. That finding union within ourselves, was a reclamation. Something that has always been there, sitting just beneath the surface.

To each of you— thank you for trusting me with your hearts. Thank you for showing up so fully. Thank you for reminding me that when people are met with love, truth, and space to be seen, transformation isn’t something we chase, it’s something we remember.

Reclaim was never about becoming someone new. It was always about remembering who you were before the world told you otherwise.✨

Seva is a Sanskrit word often translated as selfless service. It’s the practice of offering your energy, your hands and your presence, without attachment to outcome or reward.

It is love in action.

It’s remembering that we belong to something larger than ourselves.

Yesterday, I had the honor of living that prayer.
A beautiful community of yogis planted 600 baby ponderosa pines in a burn scar up in Red Feather. There was something deeply humbling about tending to a future I may never fully see. No audience. No outcome to control. Just devotion to the Earth, one tree at a time.

Seva is a core part of my Yoga Teacher Training . Each student gets to choose a volunteer opportunity as an act of selfless devotion to a cause of their choice as a lived experience of yoga beyond the mat. A remembering that our practice is not just about how we move our bodies, but how we show up in the world.

And I’m walking it with them.
Because leadership, to me, is not standing above, it’s about stepping in. Choosing to embody the teachings, not just speak them.

This is the kind of yoga that transforms.
This is the kind of practice that ripples out into our communities and our world.

Rooted in service and rising in devotion. 🌲

Thank you and for coordinating this opportunity. ✨
Thank you for joining me on this wild adventure to share your Seva project with me!

Feeling so deeply grateful for how yoga has brought me into closer union with some amazing students and teachers as we walk this path together đź’•

There was a moment in my work where everything shifted.

When I began learning about trauma and the nervous system, it didn’t just change how I held space for others… it changed how I understood myself.

At first, it was deeply internal.
I started noticing all the moments I had moved through life without awareness of what was happening in my own body. Times I felt overwhelmed, shut down, reactive… without language or understanding for why.

That awareness alone changed something.
But then came the tools.

Learning how to recognize stress responses.
Learning how to meet myself and others without force, without assumption, without needing to fix.

And from there, everything in my work evolved.

The way I teach.
The way I mentor.
The way I listen.
The way I respond.

There became a deeper layer of understanding, one that allowed for more patience, more compassion, more space for people to be exactly where they are.

And over time, something else happened.

People softened.
People opened.
People felt safe enough to be seen in ways they hadn’t before.

Not because I had all the answers,
but because I knew how to meet them.

This work changed how I relate to people.
In every space. In every interaction.

And it’s why I’m so passionate about sharing it.

Because these are skills we’re rarely taught
but they change everything.

If you feel called to understand people more deeply,
to show up with more awareness,
and to create spaces that feel safer to land in…

This work is for you.
